darell hair has a bad history with all the sub continent teams.

calling murli for chucking, banning sehwag for appealing, and now this.. just
highlights of his bias against the sub continent!!

he's an attention seeking, racist piece of sh*t.. who has finally managed to bring a test match to a standstill!!

to let him be part of the ICC "elite" panel of umpires is a disgrace!!
Hair wasn't the only umpire officiating the test match.... some people seem to have forgotten this.

yeah but theres no denying he took an active part in the decision, i think it more a case of Hair deciding, and Doctrove going along with it( Hair is definately the mroe senior of the 2, with doctrove only recently started)

And there is the history with Hair and the Asian teams.

Pakistan have handled this very badly...

I agree, they should apologise to Hair unconditionally and lock Inzamam up in prison for 3 months. :)

Pakistan give one-dayers go-ahead

Inzamam could be suspended if found guilty of the charges
Pakistan's one-day series in England will take place as planned after captain Inzamam-ul-Haq's disciplinary hearing was postponed.
When asked about the matches, team manager Zaheer Abbas said: "We will play. There will be no problem."

Inzamam's hearing over ball-tampering and disrepute charges was postponed because match referee Ranjan Madugalle is not available for personal reasons.

The ICC said both Pakistan and England want Madugalle to conduct the case.

No new date has been agreed but it is unlikely to go ahead until after the one-day series between the two teams.

"The intense nature of the upcoming one-day international series is likely to make it extremely difficult to fit in a hearing during that period," said ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed.

He confirmed that possible replacements for Madugalle had been considered but he was "the most appropriate person to adjudicate in this matter".

Abbas emphasised the team would like the hearing to take place "as soon as possible".

There had been fears Pakistan could boycott Monday's Twenty20 match against England and the subsequent five-game one-day series if Inzamam was found guilty and given a ban

The England and Wales Cricket Board would have faced the prospect of a loss of over £10m if the one-dayers had been called off.

Pakistan, who practised behind closed doors at Lord's on Wednesday, face Middlesex in a warm-up game at Uxbridge on Thursday.

The charges faced by Inzamam arise out of the fourth Test at The Oval, which ended with the game being awarded to England by forfeit.

Pakistan initially refused to come out onto the field after tea on the fourth day in protest at umpire Darrell Hair's decision to penalise them for ball-tampering.

Inzamam was singled out for action by the ICC because the captain is deemed responsible for the actions of his team.

And he could be suspended for up to four Tests or eight one-day internationals if found guilty of the disrepute charge, which the ICC views as more serious.

Pakistan have appointed high-profile law firm DLA Piper to put their side of the argument and they were keen for a delay in any event to allow them more time to prepare their case.
