Especially when he gets battered to every part of the ground.

England are 0-0 (Trescothick 0, Strauss 0).

Exciting stuff.

So England ARE playing with 13 players again. :(

No caught behind / lbw decisions for us today then. :(

Not lookin good is it?

I got 30 bar on Bell to get a century, 3/1, fingers crossed!

Fark me, have the Pakistani team plied the umpires with booze/money? That's two caught behinds AND an lbw they've given on the first day!!!

Umpire watch:

Here we go, looks like the umpires are sobering up again:

"Danish Kaneria to Mahmood, no run, a huge shout for lbw. Quicker delivery, straightening, but that might have been a touch high perhaps. In fact, Hawk-Eye has it hitting middle stump easily. The batsman was lucky there"

Lucky my ar*e!

Umpire watch:

Hold on! Hair's stopped play due to bad light? Is this something he should confer with the Pakistani batsmen first? Or does the bad light affecting fielders vision also take priority?

I'm sure Inzi and Yousef don't want to go off.

Racist Umpire Watch:

What the f*ck's going on?!? :wenger: Get the teams back out you red-necked racist cnut. You're seriously p*ssing me off now!

Here's what Cricinfo have to say:

6.25pmBST "It's all a bit of a farce," sniffs Andrew Miller, "given that it's the brightest it's been all day... but the crowds are being patient enough."

Pakistan are cruising atm. 6-429, 256 in the lead with 4 wickets in hand. Don't see anything but rain saving England and it appears Pakistan are pushing up the run-rate.

Hair is fecking shite and equally crap even as a third umpire.

But Dumpy your racist rant is unfair.

I don't label people as racist at the throw of a hat Vijay. In fact, I hate people that use racist cards too easily as it gives me and my family a bad name in the UK.

But I am not alone when I say he is biased against Indian sub-continent players.

so how did panesar bowl in the first innings? figures not very impressive.

It won't take long for Panesar to be 'found out'. He had a very good run during this series, but finger spinners, unlike wrist ones, are predictable therefore you can go after them and take them completely out of the game. The novely of a left handed finger spinner that hits the right spots a large amount of times may wear off when the Aussies do their research (which will be exhaustive, believe me).

Shahid Nazir showed the Aussies what can happen when you read the spin and just go for your shots. Panesar and Strauss were mini-panicking. There will be 10x better batsmen taking advantage of this and they won't get caught at long on like Shahid was.

Saying that I'd like to see Panesar add new dimesions to his spin and succeed, he's good for the game.

All I can say is BEEF.......

Ball tampering business is BACK baby...;)

atherton doesn't like darrel hair much.

Meanwhile, Mike Atherton's opinions on Sky are scathing of Darrell Hair, saying his decision lacks any historical context and that they lacked common sense. "It's bound to inflame things. It would have been best to leave it to the end of the day. He's not a man to back down. He's a stubborn character, a strong character.. so even though Pakistan said they were willing to come back out [after the bails removal/apparent forfeiture] you could imagine him sitting in the dressing room refusing to come out."

Atherton is perfectly correct, Darryl Hair is a disgrace and a racist.

As I mentioned on another thread, I havent followed circket too closely for the past 2-3 years.

But that Daryl Hair is a complete racist cnut. I remember several of his run ins with sub continent teams.

This incident seems too complicated but I hope the conclusion is that Hair should be shot.

just listening to the Pak cricket board chairman on five live. I think the interviewer is trying to get him to say that Hair is racist.

Sheriyar is too much of a diplomat - but deep inside all cricketers from the Indian sub continent know it as fact...

Racist umpire watch:

......oh, you must have got the point of my posts by now? :smirk:

His non-dismissal of Pietersen and Cook on the first day of the last test match (one WE could have won) stinks of more racist bias than today's events can ever touch upon.

Hey ho, the sh*t ICC have allowed this situation to happen now they can stew due to their impotence. God willing a breakaway organisation by the sub-Indian continent and maybe Australia, SA and NZ (if they're clever because the majority of cricket money is in India!) will be taken with seriousness now.

I could see that happen, mainly because BBCI president is always some power hungry politician or official who will put their financial interests and ego ahead of ICC. And Asian Cricked council has always been together on majority of issues.
