England v Sri Lanka

The commentators curse!...:D

Seriously well done, I thought Warde was unlucky.

Yes its all boycott's fault.

I'm proud of the way the guys batted considering that all odds were stacked against us.

Just a little bit of help from the weather gods and we might avoid defeat.

It's official: England are shit at cricket again.

8 catches dropped... Pathetic!!

Sri 491-8 175.4 ovs

They were relatively easy as well - Jones should be given an extended leave.

Apparantly there were 10 catches dropped in the match. The game ended in a draw because players can't catch and they bowl bounces when bad light was obviously going to be offered if a wicket was not taken.

2nd Test:

Sri Lanka 16-2

No dropped catches so far.

Sri Lanka 41-5 (Sangakkara c Jones b Plunkeet 25)

No bigred he doesn't...

136-9.

Don't know about Vaughan. He's making another comeback though...

Very good day for england.plunkett bowled some lovely stuff hitting the right areas and the catching was back to normal. With the big hitters in tommorow and a handy wag of the tail,we should have a decent enough lead to have sri lanka in alot of trouble.Maybe the exit of the sri lankans captain from the big brother house has affected their moral.

I think the previous Test was an object lesson in how to win a game but at the same time hand the opposition a psychological advantage.

I think Sri Lanka knew if they scored over 450 in 2 innings and made sure England batted fourth, then they would win this game.

Depressing.

England desperately miss Harmison, Vaughan and Simon Jones...

Injury fakers.
But i thought they had Flantiff, the greatest eveeeer

Excuses :nono:

When England were winning nobody really said anything about the injuries, now that they have lost everything is coming out.

Well done to the lads, a great achievement, never expected us to win a match this summer.

Yes but with those three we would have been much more stronger and Freddie was carrying a knock for the last test.
But credit to that little magician Murali, absolutely incredible.

hehe England players look like right amateurs against Murali. I thought this English team were only marginally behind the Aussies, well three series after the ashes and England haven't looked good in any of them and haven't won any of those three series.

Also maybe they need to develop another spin machine like Merlin that can bowl doosra's ;)

All this series shows is that England have very little depth, the batting still looks decent but the bowling looks shocking. Dalrymple does look to be a find though.
