Yeah .. this is over.
Disappointing from England.. gave up in the 4th innings.

This is going to hurt root, dude seemed to played out the bumrah spell but still couldn't score.
Quite a lot of petulance by English players. That clearly missed the bat.

Yeah but the openers aren't in a mental rut and pope and bairstow are never consistent. England's hopes for consistent scoring rest mostly on root in middle order. A frazzled root with 2 more tests to go is a great thing for india.England can’t score, it’s a phenomenal bowling effort that shows how short England’s attack was in the third innings.
Wouldnt he been out caught in that case?.. the reaction was for Umpires call I think..Quite a lot of petulance by English players. That clearly missed the bat.
I think it’s the umpire’s call more than anything.
I’m not sure, India have bowled really well. It looks difficult to score.

Ground work for the excuses that will follow..
They have bowled well.. but not 50-5 well.... or 50-6 maybe..I’m not sure, India have bowled really well. It looks difficult to score.
Looked plumb in real time.

England have no desire to adapt.. or no ability..
It did, but the DRS showed a lot of spin a short time. I think he’s personally frustrated with his form and he knows he cost his team this test with his drop and batting.
What's the worst bazball defeat yet?
This one for sure. South Africa at Lords previously.
That Root batting thing is super overblown imo.
What’s weird about this test is that England will lose by 500 runs but in reality if they batted one more session yesterday they would have got at least a draw

I'd bet you all the money in the world there will not be a draw in this series without weather.
This is now embarrassing.
Feel sorry for the English travelling supporters. This is so unprofessional now.
And not forgetting nice curries tooSometimes you get smashed they'll be fine!
I’m glad Stokes is captain. Most folk around English cricket would lose heart in their method here but I think they just need to tweak a few things. The big concern for me is the disparity in bowling attack quality. England can bat more sensibly but not sure how the spinner differential is overcome.
I don't think anyone will write England off but this is embarrassing. Bazball or not such performances are never looked kindly.I'm sure we will have plenty of Bazball slander which is all part of the fun after you get outplayed.
They'll be back. It was written off at 2-0 v the Aussies too .
Absolutely. I criticised them yesterday for not getting more runs but it’s easy to milk when the bowling gives you a lot of freebies. This Indian attack is ridiculous and gives you nothing
They’ve actually tried to bat sensibly here but whereas England give you a boundary ball every over India give you nothing. The problem is England’s method of sweeping and playing from the crease isn’t suited here. They need to use their feet more, that’s always the most sustainable way of playing spin.
India have been amazing this test. The turning point was actually their fielding decisions when they came back with England 200-2. They unsettled batsmen with unorthodox fielding to counteract England's tactics and it worked wonders/allowed bowlers to beat the attempted counterattack.
England will need to learn and assess from this humbling experience. Bazball is a breath of fresh air and has revitalised a frankly crap England test side. But it is aimed at disrupting tradition test cricket. When confronted with novel ideas from the opposition it's been found out here.
On a more simple note, when you're batting on an absolute carpet like this, batting for time is as key as the runs you get. England are never batting more than 90 overs. In conditions where bowlers will naturally toil, that's just not a sustainable way of playing.
Yeah but you just have to score big in the first innings, this team is allergic to 400
