England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

Checking to see if car drivers are white or not. I wonder if they're checking against a picture of the family guy colour scale?

Big lad in red seems to be the ringleader. Hope he gets picked up quickly. Also, why is the bloke in the electric wheelchair hanging around there? Surely it's not safe for him.

Oh you spoil sport... let him earn his comments!

Look at all the ones he offered in the last run in.... I am not doing your leg work for you... if you cannot be bothered Ok, neither will I... we can agree most of was shit!
Come on mate! John McDonnell isn’t a policy. You have just been asked to give an example of what you mean by ‘Corbyns extreme left wing policies’. You said almost all of them were at the end so it shouldn’t be hard!

It’s not even a ‘gotcha’, I’m genuinely curious and I might even agree with you!

This is getting uncomfortably like a James O’Brien phone in now….

Do you have any sources for this? I'd like to read more about it
Not that I agree with what's going on, but Rachel Reeves said housing asylum seekers is costing billions in her fiscal statement. We need to get them out of hotels, processed, and contributing to the country.

The cops should be out there with water cannons, bean bag, cayenne pepper rounds, & dogs if the first three items don't have the desired impact.

I wonder how many more people would have been jailed in the wake of 2011 if they'd all videoed themselves from 24 different angles and livestreamed/archived the footage on the Internet.

Surely there will be a lot of overtime put in to go through this trove of incriminating evidence.

Oh, got to the Do your own research point.
I love the logic behind it. Someone claims something is in their opinion extreme. People ask what exactly they believe to be extreme about it and then we're supposed to research it. But how the hell am I supposed to research their opinion? It's basically impossible. Which shows how dishonest and insincere the person is in their statements.

I don't want to get drawn into making this thread about Corbyn, but come on, man! How is a writing a manifesto with policies to take national ownership of our utilities and introducing free broadband in any way comparable to people chucking bricks at police, and setting fire to hotels, vehicles and libraries? Only one of those is extremism.
It's not. It's utter nonsense.

To be fair, he's not wrong about that, but it's the political equivalent of blaming Jadon Sancho for us having spent £75m on him. It's not the fault of the migrants that the Tories set up the system that way. As I've said elsewhere, it's just another money-making tax payer fund stealing policy that benefits their mates in the private sector.

Tories would probably be saying the both sides line. Glad the far right are actually being called out.

He is shying away from calling it what it is. It's not just thuggery, those are pogroms and nothing else.

Then moaning about a car nearly running him over...when he's stood in the middle of the road.

Some of these morons will be regretting their actions massively when they are dragged to court.

Unfortunately a large % of participants will probably get away with it, so I hope those who do get caught get absolutely fecked with the harshest sentences possible. Then, even the ones who get away with it will know that their actions have contributed to their friends/family getting brutal treatment.

Oh I definitely agree the processing system for asylum seekers needs massively improving and I'm aware of how much money is currently being wasted.

I just thought I'd missed something because that poster mentioned immigrants, not asylum seekers.

My guess is they mean asylum seekers.
Maybe

Not going to lie, I was trying to not let this affect me, but it's messing with my head and spirit. Incredible disheartening to see all this

Never said it was.
As I have tried on numerous occasions to explain that my view is that Corbyn had some good ideas, but he got over excited at the polls and then threw in lots of stuff which was never going to materialise in the current state this country was in and was too way out left to ever convince a mass populace.

I like Corbyn, I respect his ideals, but as a leader that can get ANYTHING done he was woeful (and he knew it), he should have done a Biden, fell on his sword and give McConnell a shot.

To anyone else reading this, go and look at the suggestions Jeremy was making that got support like those you indicate power supplies, internet coverage etc. Then look at all the others and the costs when people wanted, housing, education NHS and job security (no zero hours) etc and look at how he was going to do it... if you get that far.
What does any of that have to do with extremism?

Bet plenty of these hotels are owned by Tory donors.
Serco’s CEO Rupert Soames is the brother of former Tory MP Nicholas Soames...

Three large firms have contracts to run the hotels.

One, Serco, provides some 109 hotels in England, according to a High Court judgement from December 2022, mostly in the Midlands, East and North West.

Serco, which also provides other services on behalf of the government, references "growth" in its immigration work in its 2022 annual report.

It’s irrelevant what the Tories (might) have said, same as it was irrelevant what Labour said when Tories were in power. I don’t care what party it is (and not sure why some are trying to politicise this)… whoever’s in power, it’s THEIR job.

Calling them “far right” will do nothing at all about the morons out there - forget far right, they’re mainly loons committing assault, arson, burglary, etc - announcing emergency powers for police plus army support, would. You don’t feck about now (actually shouldn’t have a couple of days ago), you make a statement that says “whoever you are, I will use every force available to stop you OR arrest you OR identify you after the event”.

There is a pretty big gap between advocating for slightly left leaning policies and extremism. If you want to go by your definition of Corbyn and Labours 2019 position as being extremist, then Liz Truss was a far-right extremist.

What comes after extremism? Because there is scope to go a lot further in either direction.

I agree, we should be using the army if there isn’t enough Police. I don’t think emergency powers will do anything’s I don’t have an issue with what he said, in the previous protests people were prosecuted months and up to a year after with all the footage being analysed. I expect alot of people to get prosecuted for this. They have already said courts will be sitting more frequently for this.
