Endrick | Joining Real Madrid in 2024

With this bit “Market in South America is very interesting.”, it seems promising. A club of our size and stature should be scouting for talents around the globe. We are (I feel) already so far behind others.

Completely agree.

Isn't it a well known fact that you can bribe people in Brazil to alter footballers birth certificates so they become older or younger than they actually are?
Why don't we do that? shows you how inept this club is at dealing with transfers.

Can't let Real have the monopoly on all the best young Brazilian talent :(

It used to be Barca but they've definitely taken charge of that lane in recent years

Unsurprising Real Madrid are in for him. Seem to be trying to hoover up all the best young talent out there.

Silver lining is that Madrid will be stacked with young Brazilian attackers so won't be spending anymore on the newer wonderkids right?

He looks good, but how many 16 yo wonderkids look good at that age and then fail to impress later on in their careers?

If Vinicius and Rodrygo were the norm, every club would sign 16 yo players all the time and we all know that's not the case.

In fairness, not many 16 year olds look as good as he does (admittedly from YouTube highlights). He appears to be technically a level above a lot of the 21-25 year old strikers we are currently being linked with, and no obvious flaws in his game.

I'd argue the opposite. Generally when you see a kid that's a level above everyone else (in full fledge mens football) at that young of an age, there's a reason and it's a smart move to sign him no matter the cost. And keep in mind I'm talking about the one's that cost 20-30m+, not just a punt on a promising youngster.

The only thing we have to definitively offer him over other big sides is a perfect route to first team football...but then Benzema will probably be finishing up his career just as Endrick turns 18, so Madrid make even more sense (along with climate, glamour, and guaranteed silverware).

Vini, Militao and Rodrygo have spanish citinzenship now

You know what that means @carvajal

Right now we have all three places free  Who are you thinking of? Haaland I guess? Impossible in 2023
Flo is taking a plane to Brazil as we speak

But seriously speaking, Alphonso Davies comes to mind

Real can forget about Endrick, nobody will turn down the possibility to play for Ten Hag.

Scored his first 2 senior goals last week, but looks extremely raw and I'm not completely sold on the little fella. Can't use U18 footage or stats to anything meaningful. Still young though...
I'd rather we just went all in on someone like Moukoko. Who in my book looks like a much bigger striker talent.

He's a bit small and won't be ready for quite a while...next Jesus.

Must be nice getting your pick of the litter each time

Neymar really hurt Perez. Buying every Brazilian kid that can kick a ball.

Never seen him play, so hopefully it works out like Vini/Rodrygo and not be another Reinier. If all of this is true that is.

Fred is still a kid in the grander scheme of things.

Is there any chance of him doing the smart thing and signing for Dortmund/Ajax or would Palmeiras be looking for obscene money for him that those clubs couldn't afford?

If it becomes a bidding war everyone loses, if it about prestige everyone else loses. We blew our best chance to try and catch up with Madrid when we sold them Ronaldo and let them get Benzema and Varane while we got Owen and Valencia.
