Emmys...

Exactly the response I expected.

I didn't, but how do you know Breaking Bad won't lose it's way? It's hardly been perfect. There's times when I've thought they did silly things like

the recurring plane thing at the intro to most episodes in S2, the reveal to that was utterly disappointing and stupid and had no real relevance to the plot.

Far superior to Mad Men and Arrested Development? Nah, let's not go overboard. You're the only person I know who thinks AD is 'overrated', it's probably the best Comedy Series of the last 20 years.

Mad Men is brilliant too, I don't get the whole 'dull' thing with it. It does start out slow but the writing it so brilliant and funny at times and the characters so well developed that it's always enthralling to watch.
Spaced, Extras, The Office, League of Gentlemen all much better comedies series. Breaking may lose it's way but it hasn't yet. Mad men is brilliantly
written and acted but it's boring.

I'm pretty certain this is the first time Paul or anyone from Breaking Bad has won supporting actor. He deserved it, but the emmy's are a farce at this point.

I guess at least they nominated Chandler and Britton this year which is something. Modern Family deserved to win also, but still shunning Curb is a bit lame, lol at some dude from Bg Bang Theory winning over David and Carrell, wow.
I'm positive they win Best Actor and Supporting actor every year. Maybe it's the Golden Globes though and not the emmy's?

  1. The Sopranos
  2. The Wire
  3. Six Feet Under
  4. Arrested Development
  5. Curb Your Enthusiasm
  6. Seinfeld
  7. Deadwood
  8. LOST
  9. True Blood
  10. The Shield
  11. Peep Show
  12. Rome
  13. Dexter
  14. Entourage
  15. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
  16. Mad Men
  17. A few of those cartoon/animated shows.
Breaking Bad isn't even in the same league.

Watch all 3 seasons before you say Lost and True Blood are better than Breaking Bad
How the dude from Big Bang Theory won over Larry David and Alec Baldwin and Steve Carrell I dont know!

Have you seen "that dude" act? He's been brilliant on the show for all 3 seasons and he deserves it. BBT has one of the best ratings for comedies in America and he's the main reason for that.

10 shows better? Right, and any list including Lost is void as well, because just no. I just noticed that list also had Entourage and Dexter, LOLZ, sorry dude.

The Wire
The Sopranos
Hill Street Blues
The West Wing
Homicide: Life on the Streets
Deadwood
Mad Men
Our Friends In The North
Twin Peaks
Boys from the Blackstuff

I could name even more, and lists with comedies and even sci-fi's are somewhat unfair really, hard to compare say X-Files and Buffy to Breaking Bad you know. Breaking Bad IS a good show, lets not get this wrong, but it's very much carried by the brilliant acting of Cranston although fair play the others have upped their game too in the past season as well.
Dexter is brilliant tbf and Breaking Bad is in the same class.

Agreed. Have 2 seasons of it lying around but I find it extremely boring to say the least.

Not it's just been Cranston until yesterday, Paul hasn't won anything from either before, not even sure he's been nominated before.

I've seen and thought Big Bang theory was awful yes, and ratings do not mean greatness, if anything, it's the complete opposite now. Shall we give Chuck Sheen Best Actor awards every year for having his huge but godawful sitcom Two and a Half Men, or Desperate Housewives and NCIS winning Best drama?

Dexter is good, but it's still a bit too gimmicky and shows that rely on a hook get stale quite quickly, Lithgow was pretty badass last season, but it's still on it's last legs of being good, I hope they don't pull a 24 and completely over do with like 9 seasons. Breaking Bad is similar pretty much, but on the grand scheme of it all, neither should be any where near the top on a best tv series ever list....maybe top 10 in shows that currently air, but not all time.

As someone who watched all of Lost I will not hear that it is shit, or not rated among the best shows of all time...

It's all that keeps me from thinking I wasted hours of my life watching that shit

Being honest I thought it was some of the worst acting I've ever seen. I lost interest in the concept when my missus told me they went back in time at one point. I now understand they didn't but the way she said it put me off it instantly. That's just my opinion of course, there is no right or wrong when it comes to this stuff.

EDIT: Aha, white text! We meet again!

Yes I have seen that dude, in fact I have seen every single episode of BBT...

But there is no way he deserved it more than Alec Baldwin or Larry David!!

I watch BBT every week, but no way does it generate the same humour as other shows like Modern Family, 30 Rock, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Curb Your Enthusiasm etc...

Decided to give Breaking Bad a watch after all the wins and the fact that I need something to watch on the way to work especially as I've finished all of the Wire. Still going to be difficult to see Bryan Cranston as anything other than Hal from Malcolm in the Middle but he must have done a terrific job.

Trust me, you'll soon only see him as Walt. Malcolm in the middle never happened now for me. The guy can act.

I was surprised that Lost didnt win any of its 12 nominations, Terry O'Quinn and/or Michael Emerson deserved something atleast imo, aswell as Michael Giacchino for the music but there you go.

You are clueless.

I agree that was the one category I would have liked to see them win. Its just unfortunate they were up against Aaron Paul who had an amazing season.
