What United need is to be run like a professional sporting enterprise. We need to forget who Manchester United used to be and make decisions in the way any other club would make. Is that too much to ask ?

United haven’t won a league title in almost a decade despite spending crazy money. We had a manager available who has a proven track record for winning leagues including premier league and we didn’t sign him for whatever reason and now 2 weeks later we will appoint an interim whilst we try & search for a replacement. Mad mad club

I hate that these cnuts have made me dislike Ole.
Why dislike him it is hour choice not theirs? Ole needs tonbe replaced but no reason to dislike him, he came in as an interim, did better than expected, tried his best given the opportunity but it didn’t work out. No reason to dislike him.

Some comments on this forum, and not by you may I add, but some of the comments are just hateful and ridiculous, Olemnever murdered anyone, he just tried his beat to do a job and it didn’t work out.

A year ago we could've got Poch.
9 months ago we could've got Tuchel.
6 months ago Allegri
5 months ago Sarri.
1 month ago we could've got Conte.

This board is just total shambles. How a clubo of this stature can be run without actual football knowledge is beyond me...

Im intrigued by at what point a manager become obviously unfit for a job, whilst all his players manage to retain their reputations? Surely if the players had continued to bail him out (as many have been claiming they’ve done for a while now) then his job wouldn’t be on the line, and half this forum would be complaining about spoilt fans who can’t see the fighting spirit he’s instilled in the club?

Did the same hold true of Jose’s meltdown season? Or Moyes? Or was that entirely on them?

Genuine question. What’s the ideal situation whereby everyone agrees it’s time for Ole to leave, but no one blames the players? What does that look like?
I think it's on a practical level, you cannot replace a 25 man squad with new players. It's not realistic. You can however, change the manager and get drastically different levels of results and performances very quickly. See Lampard and Tuchel.

Carrick, McKenna better be out too.

The sausages have sat there for two seasons. Carrick even longer.

I want no carryover in coaches. They've been shite.

People kicking off over Fletcher

Finally got what you wanted and now moaning about the interim manager! I'm sure this is just a short term situation. We have a game round the corner a new manager won't be hired in time for that.
They’ll never be happy, they live in football manager world where Potter, Tan Hag and Rodgers all are willing to leave their jobs this weekend to sign for United.

As most of us have said for months now, it makes way more sense to go interim until the end of the season and assess our options. Anything else is a panic appointment if the right manager isn’t available, look at Spurs.

If Fletcher is getting the interim, then that means the whole coaching team is surviving this as well :wenger:

How the feck have they let Carrick stay but sacked Ole.

The new manager better clear those coaches out.

We shouldn’t throw the baby out with the bath water but they should be coaching in the reserves. They have very little coaching experiencing to fall back on and are younger than Ronaldo…

What has Fletcher done to earn this? Bit of a joke really

Reserves might be too high of a standard for them. One of the academy teams maybe.

Plenty of people have enjoyed a good couple of years putting a man down, criticising the club, jumping on a bandwagon of trite insults dressed up as incite. Only difference is Jordan has the platform of a daily radio show to dribble this stuff out whenever the subject comes up, usually prefaced by “I’ve said all along”.

As for those of us who stuck by Ole, which I did until the Leicester game, I doubt if any of us did it expecting credit.
The reason we’re in this white is because there’s absolutely no other top club that enjoys nepotism like United.
Shambolic reign by absolute clown of a manager ended up with 3 years down the drain and probably another big rebuild job up coming.

I hope the top reds did enjoy the ride because they made that bed United is currently in.

They better get the right appointment this time.

Need a tactician that commands respect. Can't see any other type working with this squad. We had a "go out and play" manager.

I don't think Zidane is anything near a guarantee of success in this league. Conte was the one and available a couple of weeks ago.

Next best thing would be Allegri or Ragnick. Someone that can get these boys working physically hard and also tactically.

Indeed. But United's history and financial footing makes it more like the Glazers' NFL franchise than a typical football club in that we are almost guaranteed to remain the premiership, and probably Europe - like how NFL teams are never relegated and a playoff run is great but not necessary for financial success. United has a massive global media market, one that has remained steadfast despite all the failures since SAF left. We're too big to fail, basically. And action is only taken when there is a genuine threat of falling so far that playoffs/European football and even relegation is possible.

Yeah, let Carrick go and prove himself elsewhere. If he's good enough he'll come back.
