Eljero Elia

I don't think he is that good to be honest. They already have Babel who they don't use and they look like similar players. He is definitely not United quality. And 15M Euro is a lot for this lad.

Nah, he really isn't mate, he isn't even the best winger at the club (that would be Jansen). HSV as a club are in turmoil with players throughout their squad who may have a bit of quality, but little to no mental strength, and Elia is the worst of all. Big time Charlie who thinks he should play for a top club after half a decent season - after all Van Nistelrooy, Petric, Jansen and Westermann are certainly better than him in their respective positions.
Van Nistelrooy: His time is over
Petric: Very good player but has a crap season
Jansen: He´s always injured
Westermann: He was great for Schalke but he´s a very average season for HSV

Totally different, Elia for one isn't 1 dimensional, he has more dribbling skills and technique than the raw babel who excels from his pace.

Babel should get the hell out of Liverpool, he hasn't been played in his favoured position and I am still surprised that he kept his faith in them by staying on the bench for another 6 months...

I wish the feck he would.

I wouldn't mind spending 5 million to take Babel off your hands. I dont think you guys have permenantely ruined him yet

I'm sure that would endear him to Liverpool fans. I've been impressed with him the few times I've seen him but that's only been a few times.

I remember his game against Dortmund right before his Juve move. Piszczek literally didn't let him even cross a single ball in the first 60 minutes. I've never seen a player be so dominated and thought "...this guys is supposed to goto Juve? ... okay.."

Funny how people labeled him as "one trick pony", "flop", "babel wannabe", when the lad is trusted in the "WORLD CUP" playing for his country, who turns out to be the runner up of this year's world cup.

I know we set a high standard on "wankable material" but some guys just think everyone else sucks if they're not Messi / Ronaldo.

Diamanti played for Euro finalists Italy but he's absolutely a one trick pony and a flop.

I enjoy Elia's play. I think he's more of a Young-type player where he needs to mature and figure out what he's good at and stick to that instead of attempting to do everything once a game.
