EFL Cup 24/25 Semi-Finals

It’s funny Arsenal’s corner routine goes out the window the desperation kicks in, their last few corners have been shit and wasteful compared to earlier on.

Great result for them. Do think they needlessly made those super defensive subs. They were starting to look more shaky in added time.

Be interesting to see will the same tabloid rag journalists who went to town on Man United losing 2-0 at home to Newcastle last week will give simliar treatment to the mighty Arsenal and their tactical genius of a manager.

Arsenal have good defense, good midfield but poor attack. You can't win titles with a forward line Trossard-Havertz- Martinelli. Their only top striker is Saka.

Arsenal were shit but our first 30 minutes versus Newcastle deserves its own dissertation.

Probably something along the lines of 'Arsenal's injury crisis results in defeat vs red hot Newcastle'. I didn't see any journalist caveat our defeat to Newcastle with the suspensions of Ugarte and Bruno.

There will never be fair treatment so all this talk is bs.

I think Forest are more likely to do a Leicester than Arsenal, Chelsea or City winning the league. Obviously Liverpool are 99% winning the league

Few teams are now. Without Saka, about half their corners are much less accurate. Plus teams are leaving more up front when defending.
Wasn't it Rice's corners that undone us?

I was saying you don’t even have Saka’s corners now. I felt they were the bigger threat when I watched your games earlier in the season. But I don’t have the stats. What’s the split between goals scored from corners delivered by those two?

Newcastle are an absolutely disgusting team. Not that the club sold its soul and the fans celebrated it, but simply the way they play and conduct themselves is absolutely awful, and then when they hit some form they act like the leagues tough guys. they get away with murder because they have an english manager. anti football of the highest order

You really don't watch Newcastle at all though? That stereotype is absolute garbage.

Can't even blame it on the lack of chances today. Just some really poor finishing again.

Newcastle vs Spurs would be interesting. Been a long time since either of them won anything (Newcastle more so)

Once again, Ten Hag STILL providing a better trophy return in two years than Arteta in 5 or 6

Yeah, i do, more than enough to make my own opinion on them. Conduct on the pitch to match conduct off it. You don't have to agree or even respond. Most uneasthetic, dirtiest team in PL for me

Spurs are not beating Liverpool over two legs. Unlikely they’d do it in one game either given that Vicario, Romero and van de Ven are all out. Also (for different reasons) Udogie, Maddison, Sarr out. Liverpool only missing Joe Gomez and possibly Szoboszlai. Add to that how much Ange’s style of play suits Liverpool and this has potential to be similar to the 6-3 from few weeks ago. I’l go with 3-1 Liverpool. Could be even more so Liverpool make sure they’ve won the tie before second leg.

Glad he switched both full backs out. TAA and Robertson were both liabilities on Sunday (Robertson less so but at fault a bit for Amad's goal).
