Can never have too many Eevees
He's going to Madrid
When we play them in the CL this season
When we play them in the CL this season
We currently have Fred, Mctominay, Matic, Pogba, Bruno and DVB for 3 midfield slots. We already have a situation where Matic barely plays, and Donny can't get many games.
Where does Camavinga fit into all of this? We surely need to ship 1 out if he's brought in. Would he go straight into the team or is he going to be a bit-part young player to begin with.
I think it was more that Spurs blew it in the run in but it is still impressive even if it was predicted that Leicester would have a really good season.I don’t know at what stage of the season. Just that they were the first to predict it. More details in the Athletic article. An excerpt:
“The squad that finished second last season is projected to win eight fewer points in the next one, which gives them only a one in 80 chance of winning the Premier League title for the first time since 2013 and a likely finishing position of fourth, behind Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Says who? Says Real Analytics, a team of computer science and mathematics professors who have become football’s favourite soothsayers.
They were probably the first forecasting firm to spot Leicester would be champions in 2016 and they backed that up by predicting Chelsea would win in 2017, by seven points, and that Arsenal would finish outside the top four for the first time in 20 years.”
Greenwood has liked his latest Instagram post. Unless they share the same agent, why would they be liking each other's posts?Camavinga has shared a picture of his baby brother in a Manchester United shirt. Done Dealio! Mecha muppetry engaged.
Carnivore? Carni4? Bone-crisher?How would he been referred to by our nickname loving manager if he came here? He can’t be Eddy as that’s already taken and Camavingy doesn’t quite roll of the tongue
Add Goretzka to Mbappe, Pogba and Camavinga and you have the Ronaldo, Kaka, Alonso situation all over again.Click the tweet and translate it. Their source is The Telegraph and it says Real won't move for him this summer, the player will wait and Real will get him in 2022 when he's free. So Real theoretically could end up with Mbappe, Pogba and Camavinga for free in 2022, crazy.
There’s a very interesting article on the Athletic which explains how Real Analytics, probably the leading football analytic firm, predicts that Camavinga would be the single most influential signing in terms of point accumulation next season. For context, they predicted Leicester would win the title in 2016 and Chelsea in 2017, They use complex and advanced AI to model how his profile would affect our play, and they used it to model all the players we have been linked with. Camavinga comes out on top by far. Better even than Sancho.
I was very surprised by these findings but the firm has a lot of credibility. Signing all three of Varane, Sancho and Camavinga would be worth an extra 10pts they reckon. Signing no one and they had us gaining only 65pts next season.

they are talking about forecasting, so I'm guessing they got Leicester as champion early during their winning season, but not before it started.Did they really predict Leicester would win the title in 2016? I absolutely refused to believe that

I am surprised adding Varane doesn't contribute a lot to this. I suppose our defensive record in open play has been quite well already but that's been achieved through more defensive tactics. If we can be more aggressive then that can allow us to score more goals with Varane in. Not sure if that has been taken into consideration.
I've seen nothing to suggest Matic is on his way out though.Matic is finished and Pogba will be leaving.
Opinions on how shit our players are are irrelevant. Is Ole actually planning on shipping any of them out is the question? I've seen nothing in the media to suggest Matic and VDB are leaving.Pogba is leaving, Matic is finished at this level, DVB is probably out the door as soon as someone bids for him. McFred isn't good enough to start for a title challenging side.
We're not getting Camavinga anyway but we desperately need a midfielder, 2 when Pogba leaves.
Did they really predict Leicester would win the title in 2016? I absolutely refused to believe that
I’ve been thinking and it would seem to support the idea that many Caftards have advanced, which is that we’re actually relatively ‘fine’ in offense and defense and midfield is making them look worse than they actually are.
I've seen nothing to suggest Matic is on his way out though.
Pogba possibly leaves but far from guaranteed.
He can't play more than one half anymore let alone 3 games!Matic still has a lot to offer even at 33. He just cannot play three games a week anymore. Our best midfielder out of the trio of him/Scott/Fred. Just wish somehow we can spend 50M quid odd to make him 25 years old again
from their website
"we identified earlier than anyone that Leicester were favourites for the league title"
which honestly just sounds like horse-shit
unless they are somehow tracking what every other analyst in the world is doing/thinking
He can't play more than one half anymore let alone 3 games!
No its from watching him play, he really doesn't have the legs. That's abit of a hyperbole, mate. Typical of the Caf assuming every player is finished after 30 and should retire
Never said he was finished but his level drops off considerably after 45mins. If he was such a major player then he'd have played a lot more and in big games. That's abit of a hyperbole, mate. Typical of the Caf assuming every player is finished after 30 and should retire
Since the nos vemos en manchester photo, I refuse to believe anything coming from players social media siteCamavinga has shared a picture of his baby brother in a Manchester United shirt. Done Dealio! Mecha muppetry engaged.

To be fair, he didn't say Greenwood knew. He just said Greenwood like a post of hisWhy would Greenwood know who we are signing?

Why keep him then if we make a new signing? We already can't give him games.I'd be very surprised if Matic plays a key role with United. He'll be fringe player at best.

Please don't tell me we're keeping him round because he's old, sorry, "experienced". If they're not contributing anything on the pitch, get rid. Same should have been done with Mata.
Pretty sure Greenwood didn't like the photo.
Post that IG story!
100% he has, check it out yourself below. Camavinga has also liked a couple of Greenwoods pics.Pretty sure Greenwood didn't like the photo.
See above. It's probably nothing more than two footballers liking watch other's social media posts. Just intriguing that there's no real connection between these 2 that's apparent to me. Have they possibly played against each other in underage national games?Post that IG story!
