DVDs, downloading and cinema going

You can although I can't get used to reading a book on a screen.

I also read about 100 books a year most years.

Never got into that. Can't beat reading a book though. That's the one thing I won't 'steal'.

Sounds interesting, and I suppose it was only a matter of time. But I agree with Simon, I think most people would prefer to just read a paperback. Anyone have any experience with audio books? I like the idea of being able to listen to books being read whilst I am working or something. Just wish I knew how to use them

Download uTorrent, get someone here to invite you to Demonoid, a torrent search type site and you will be able to download hundreds of audio books in mp3 format.

Wibble for an idea of how useless my repertoire of viewed films really is- I only watched my first star wars film a week a go.

That is woeful. On the upside there are probably 2 really decent films per week for you to watch for a few years to come before you even need to consider the dross.

Tend to buy a lot of music every year - occasionally copy music from friends. But, if I like it I will buy the CD also. £10 for a CD is not a lot of money for 100s of hours of entertainment, and I like to support artists that I like. £10 would barely buy me 3 pints in a pub, for example.

Don't really buy or download movies, maybe buy the occassional TV series such as Heroes, Family guy, supernatural

Haven´t been to a cinema for probably 25 years plus and have never rented out any dvd´s ever but bought a few as in few

Hi Smashed I find audiobooks great - I enjoy reading Biographies, Sci Fi Fantasy, Thrillers - trouble is I tend to skim which is not so good. With audiobooks you cannot - I read all of Harry Potter books in paper form then downloaded the audiobooks and after listening to the first one discovered the joy of the books second time round - but more rewarding this time because I was forced to listen to all the words the author had written

Similar experience with Watchers - Koonz as another example . I also listen to audiobooks in the car or when I´m jogging - lots of the time they´re more rewarding than listening to music
