Would be great for a couple of years. :smirk:

Mourinho might just nab him.

I don't like him, as a player. I know he's very, very good but there's something off-putting about his persona.

The Drogba to Real transfer makes complete sense.

He would bet the perfect foil with his physical presence and hold up play for the likes of Ronaldo, Ozil and co to play off. And he's probably desperate to play under Mourinho. And I think he's capable of destroying Barca when they meet.

I don't get people with this attitude. You want a good football player for their ability not their persona. Nani's on-field persona might at times be cringeworthy but he's one hell of a football player.

If he isnt happy to be on the bench at chelsea, he wont be happy on the bench for us.
So that move is never going to happen.
That said, he is quality and I cant understand why Chelsea want to get rid

It sounds like you don't like him a person, not a player.

I thought Ronaldo was a fecking cock - and still do - but the lad could play. Drogba's a brilliant footballer who'd improve any squad in the world, if only in the short term.

Off the field, he has the biggest heart than 90percent of the Premer League players. He's cut down on his threatics in recent times, but the amount of charity he is constantly involved in made me look at him in a different light. He really is a wonderful human being.

Without doubt one of the finest strikers of the Premiership era, will be glad to see the back of him though.

Could still do a job at a top club.

Madrid need defenders far more than attackers though, but hey, when has that ever stopped them.

Why?

They don't concede that many goals now Jose is in charge and Carvalho's signing has been a masterstroke.

And they're desperate for a forward, hence why Adebayor came in on loan in January.

Drogba would be a top player in Spain. The closest thing they have over there is Llorente who from what I've seen would get found out big time in the PL. Drogba's still got plenty in the tank and would be a great signing for them.

On his day Drogba is unplayable but when it's not happening for him he's a complete waste of space. Can go an entire game making just 1 or 2 passes. The closer he gets to retirement the more frequently he's going to have off-days.

He looks alright most of the time when he plays - look at the other night, comes of the bench and bags a goal.

He's not had a great season but he has had malaria which has clearly taken a lot out of him.

Should be leading the line still for Chelsea on current form.

They were only desperate because of the long term injury to Higuan and Benzema was shit. Higuan is back now and Benzema is looking like the player he was expected to become so i'd be surprised if they spent money on a top striker. But this is Real Madrid I suppose...

I'm still not so sure that Mourinho has faith in Benzema, the only reason he even got a chance was because of injuries - Mourinho has always favoured having a big, physical player at his previous clubs, Milito, Benni McCarthy and Drogba, for example.

By the sounds of it Mourinho wanted to bring in a player in the Adebayor/Drogba mould but was told that the club didn't need anymore strikers, then when Higuain got injured, he used this fact to aide his cause in bringing someone in.

I think if Drogba became available in the summer then Mourinho may well be interested, presuming of course they don't have a deal wrapped up for Adebayor at that point.

Neither Benzema (who he's been lumbered with) or Higuain are the line leader Jose likes to play with - hence why he moved for a target man in Adebayor.

Drogba is a Rolls Royce version of Adebayor and the price would be right so the chairman would be happy.

Higuan or Benzema would also bring in a few quid if they wanted rid.

Genuinely believe if we would have had him the last five years we'd have won the CL more than once as we did.

Having Drogba would have made no difference to us being dominated against Barca.

Yeh of course if they flog either Higuan or Benzema then I'd expect a striker to come in.

In the last 5 years, meaning not just against Barca but another final altogether, perhaps last years? Perhaps against the Semi's away to Milan. He's a fantastic player who can change games on his own, like Rooney, like Ronaldo (at the time for us)

That's Barca not Madrid.

Madrid have Pepe, Carvalho - who are 2 of the best around. With back up in the likes of Albiol, Garay and Ramos plays there as well.

Drogba is the only player from Chelsea that I admire... He is a fantastic player... Imagine him and Rooney together... lovely

Essien would improve our team much more than Drogba would.

They have two strikers but as full backs go they have Ramos, Marcelo and Arbeloa and in the middle Pepe, Carvalho, Albiol and Garay. Why would they need defenders? Mourinho has finnaly buffed out the rubbish international ones and found some Spanish/Portuguese speaking that work.

I believe that Anderson could do the job better next season

You think Anderson will be better than Essien next season?

What do you base that on? He's been same old Anderson this season. A mixed bag of performances including stormers as well as some shockers and various injuries.

Drogba is still feckin quality and probably (when on form) the hardest striker to shut down.

In Spain he would bully defenders, I mean he can bully big, English League defenders with ease.

Time for the 'he doesn't have many years left' after a player turns 30 to stop.

If a player is dedicated and looks after himself there is no reason for a 30+ year old to keep playing well. Has Giggs and Scholes not taught people anything?

Drogba will be an amazing striker well into his mid 30's bar a significant injury.
