Downloading Final Fantasy 8

Anyone know where i can get it ??

first hand expereience would be nice as well cos i dont want to download 4 discs worth of game to only find it doesnt work...or is 3 gig worth of Hungarian porn.
 
Eights class, my second fave after 9.

Try torrentspy, i got it off there though had to format my hard drive so dont have it anymore. It's about 3GB and you'll need Alcohol 120& or Daemontools.
 
Er..well I'm not to good at explaining these things.

It is not a file you can just double click and it will play. With either alcholol or daemon, you have to mount it to a virtual drive, then install. Theres instructions with it explaining, thats how I learnt. Failing that PM Hectic for it, but ask him can you find an .exe type not an ISO.
 
so have i got to download all the parts before i can start pkaying it or can i play each part until it reaches the end because there are a good 46 parts to this download.
 
What a game. Everyone calls it, but I think it's great. The card game rules in it :)

FF is an amazing game series and i really don't care what anyone says.
 
Have you tried Final Fantasy 3 (USA) for SNES console? Highly recommended. The stroyplot is fantastic, that's the best FF game I've ever played instead of FF8, 9 or X.

Is that better than the DS version? I was actually thinking of getting a DS solely for that.
 
I must get the DS version of 3. Out of all of them i don't which is the best. I've had them from 7 onwards. 7 and 9 are probably my favourites.

My favourite is FF7 a real classic. I dont really like FF9 I would say that is the worse one. Never really got into it tho.

Yeah agree with ya. For me i perfer FF7, then 8, then 10, then 11 and finally 9.
 
I have bought a linker last week (a kind of emulator system) , and all DS rpg's are really shit, too much leveling up actually

FF7 & FF10 are the definitely the best for me. FF12 was a massive let down
 
Can we agree that 10-2 is the worst of the lot?

FFX was excellent!
The problem i found with 8 is that it was brilliant up the end of disc 3. Then it got a bit shite and the storyline became a bit warped.
 
Out of curiosity, is there any way i can burn the contents of my playstation one discs to the computer and get them to work on the PC?
 
i dont like the combat, and the spend 4 hours to find a save point aspects of the games. and the annoying repeating music
