The steps that had to have been taken to get this warrant signed suggest that it will amount to something. This is unprecedented in American history. Doubt that Garland et al would want to swing & miss.

Also further polarised anything that comes from the 6th Jan hearings.. Its a deep state within the deep state.

I don’t think so, but the fact he hasn’t released the warrant yet makes me think something in there is serious. If it was just “coming to get random documents” that would be blasted all over Fox by now.

I like how they’re going with “this has never happened to any other President in history”, like him being searched is the point at hand, rather than him being under criminal investigation and sufficient probable cause having been present to justify a search warrant on his home.

Can you imagine what will happen if these people, this authoritarianism goes well beyond Trump now, get back in power? He has torn down any barriers to fascism and authoritarianism. They openly run on and discuss the dismantling of the state and rebuilding it for the sole purpose of defending themselves and politically prosecuting "the left".

Caught a few minutes of a Dennis Prager radio segment on my way to lunch this afternoon. Prick was talking about the assault on democracy and our nation and I was thinking maybe he would be referring to Jan 6th attack on the capital, perhaps one sane hate talk radio head out there. Nope. This assault on the nation was the FBI raid. These cnuts have no shame and are arguably the biggest destroyers of democracy as the collective epicenter of spouting bullshit and creating division and hatred.

I mean, the man nearly did bring down the federal government through a failed coup, so naturally he is the victim.
Republican elected officials had two choices: 1. wait for more information to come out before deciding on how to respond or 2. insist that Donald Trump is being politically persecuted by Joe Biden and we must act or risk becoming a Banana Republic!
Obviously they chose the latter because they are dead set on taking America down a dark, dark path. The stuff that "normal" Republicans are spouting is absolutely unhinged stuff. All for a guy who got his ass handed to him by Joe Biden. When violence kicks off against the FBI, DOJ, or others, of course they will blame everyone but themselves.

Trump could publish the warrant, but he sees it as more beneficial to hide it and to spread lies about it.

We're at the point where none of this matters anymore. Even if the FBI has tapes of him selling the nuclear codes to Russia 50% of his base won't care and the other 50% will believe its the deep state. If we survive this era I think historians are going to look back on this time as a case study of group madness.

I wrote somewhere on Twitter that I challenge Trump to endure an 11-hour grilling without pleading the Fifth even once if he can (700+ likes for that tweet BTW). Sure I don't think I would personally survive more than an hour of him whining and rambling, but it would put to bed the silly claims that Trump is treated unfairly compared to Hillary. First hurdle failed, Donald!
