Donald Trump - All things impeachment.... | Acquitted in the Senate

It's a decent photoshop to be honest. Funny that his supporters applaud him for trolling the libs. Yay, my pres is a Twitter troll.

It's a little more complicated than that I think. Specifically in the 30s, it was Kazakh and Ukrainian medium/large peasants that suffered and starved under Stalin's industrialisation and collectivisation drives. And there was quite a large class of managers, bureacrats, etc who were comfortable in the post-war period.
In general, the amount of repression decreased once Stalin died - the US today has far, far more prisoners per capita than the USSR from before 1935 or after 1953.
That's why I said in the beginning of the regimes . And what I described was what happened after the Soviet occupation in my country.

I think he meant for people in the West. The dictatorships of the proletariat that masqueraded as Communist regimes are almost universallly regarded as horrific for the people who lived under them.

Interestingly, originally "dictatorship of the proletariat" was just a fancy way of essentially saying majority rule, as opposed to the dictatorship of the aristocracy and the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, which were both (in reality) minority rule. It wasn't supposed to refer to an actual dictatorship. Of course, today when we think of the dictatorship of the proletariat we think of the Soviet Union, which was very much a totalitarian state.

Just so I'm on topic here, I suppose we could call Trump's America the dictatorship of the deplorables.

Reading the last few comments makes me wish the Monty Python lads were all still around and capable of making a new movie. A little more societal critique and satire like that would be great. Hell - same thing if George Carlin was around.
Bring back spitting image! So much material

It's worked for him so far.

Also it seems to me that these impeachment proceedings are making his re-election more likely, and not less likely. Just more grist to the mill.

Aye, the fact it's working is the shite part. People are unfit for democracy. We're way too stupid to know what's good for us.

What ?

UK media is absolute wank.

An ignorance on my part so I admit. I guess I just wrongly believed you didn't hae such blatant propaganda news as the US who were so dedicated to one side each. I would have thought of the BBC as a very good and trusted media channel (through Planet Earth and some of their documentaries) but it seems I was wrong about that. Of course the internet will always throw a spanner in the works too. My mistake for the assumption of course while living outside the country. What mediums would you say are the most at fault?

OK so I’m going to tweet this, you wait ten minutes and then post that and it’ll keep up the good cop bad cop charade.

I am surprised, the nunes stuff has got no attention yet?. I mean if its true, it should be a bombshell in itself.
I'm sure both sides are carefully weighing the pros and cons on when to drop that. It's easy to get sidetracked when you have that guy, as well as Giuliani and his Ukrainian associates to deal with as well. How much noise is too much noise so to speak. At the same time I'm sure Trump has already relayed unofficially to the Dems he d happily see Nunes burn if that would mean they go easy on him.

Seems like an odd decision to me as it supersedes their right to appeal to a higher court. Unless it’s got some historical use to see that a case is expedited or something?

Report saying Rudy made calls to the Budget Office. No Quid Pro Quo there.

Devin Nunes being the ranking member makes mockery of the whole process. The Republican Party is a lost cause. It is like trying to have a civilized conversation with a fish.

Woah! I think you should scale back the anti-fish rhetoric mate. Jeez, that was pout of order.

He's got previous mate:
It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. Like going from a fully functioning man to an ape. Maybe even worse, a fish.
IQ of a fish.
If you believe that figure, you're a fish.
The papers have been taking the piss ever since Sanchez signed .

Adisa is cancelled.
