I honestly felt Sindelar fits your other picks perfectly if you play Cristiano in his last couple of seasons role.
Him + Puskwas ahead with Sindelar in the false 9 role doesn't look too shabby. Just have to pick who you play as the LF.

Sindelar with Xavi and two wingers + Puskas is a no go defensively.

You can still play him as a false 9 with Puskas/CR on either side or even as a #10 with Puskas up top and CR on the left.

I get what you're saying tho as to many(like Bican) is not well known player in terms of playing style and only goes by his resume so won't attract many votes that's for sure.

Bican has great credentials but to me is a bit unknown quality, I guess yet another reason to learn something about him for this draft.

Your sacrifice was all for naught though as Planicka plunges the chain right back into pre-war mono-country player era, just now with Czech instead of Austria. Now they need to find another bridge to the post-war era :lol:

Difference being Austria had only 2 options. Bican or the Barca striker. Czech has many more get out routes with better more known players available. Obviously it was setup to take a few picks before someone could pick a gem but it should not be as hard as austria to reach there

Not for me at least. Czech's 1938 World Cup squad is a bunch of players I have never heard of most of whom don't play after the war. Bican was a much more expedited route out of the pre-war era than Planicka now offers :lol:

Unless Slavia Prague has some players I don't know - I couldn't find a squad list for Planicka's last year with them in 38.

I can see two good players but both of them don’t seem to lead out Prague

:lol: Not our fault. They were available for quite some time and managers before us kept passing them over. And Bican WAS the best route out of this mess.

Not sure where this is headed after Planicka...There's this winger, but he just leads to more blind alley's....

Well, P-Nut and Skizzo initially had the best routes out of the hole but they plunged the chain further down the rabbit hole

Can't blame him, he's a great option to fill a required position on the teamsheet, whilst being in the swamp with everybody else. Was hoping he'd go for couple of nice options that link in the late 40s, but guess it's someone elses problem now.:lol:

Would have been great pick if I didn't have a GOAT and 2 times Ballon D'or winner in that position already. Not complaining, still a great option off the bench.

Indeed. It was a great pick as it covers a need well while giving the following players no clear way out of the pre-war era. In fact, Planicka is probably the best pick of the lot as a pre-war keeper is easier to sell IMO than Bican for instance

And its coming back around for @Raees
