Well either way I look at it it depends on @idmanager whether he fully blows the German contingent as Kalle is also perfect for his frontline.

He's also ideal for me in a 4-4-2 so here it goes...

Eh? I thought you were trying to distract him with all that CB crap. Was the obvious choice as Schuster was a route straight into Germany in the 80s or 70s.

Iniesta in a 4-4-2 is something that is very interesting. Unless you plan to play him on the left, can imagine some good debate in the match threads.

Thought he'll pick the other CB not Passarella.

I don't think Schuster blows it right open as it's the same with Passarella with his Inter stint. The difference would be having Matthaus available to me as well, but that's it. Can't touch the other Germans from the 70's..

yup left coming into inside left with overlapping LB was the plan all along. Hopefully it pans right tho as I literally have no idea who'll be available to me next.

Wow lads what a disaster!

I've been in meetings for 30 of the last 48 hours trying to close the deal on a new restaurant. Got out for an hour earlier which luckily conicided with my pick.

Spent most of it checking that Diego definitely didn't play in Copa 91 or 93, despite the fact I fecking watched him play at USA 94!

My head is fried!

I knew about the Kalle link but wasn't at all convinced you would go there. I rate him highly but not sure I share your enthusiasn for him in a 4-4-2 with Iniesta and Figo. Matthaus or Breitner though were nailed on.

It might require some tinkering or transition to 4-3-3 at the end with Kalle as a SS or CF if my plans doesn't go as expected, but so far I'm happy with those 3. All of Figo/Iniesta/Kalle played in a 4-4-2 and would be close to their natural game.

The real problem with 4-4-2 always has been the midfield two(especially in drafts) as even with Matthaus/Keane combo it would 'look lightweight' against a 3 man midfield on the other side. Wanted 2 playmaking wingers who also can put a shift in and 2 complete CF's that can drop back. It might work and some might like it, some might not, as always with drafts...
