Do you still watch when we're 3-0 down?

I love it when people who don't go to the games tell fans who go to the games what to do

Watched until it was 6-1 then had to go drop my son off for a play date so was surprised we scored another two to win the second half

I spend an awful lot of money following my team all across England and Europe , I don't even live in England so it's not easy but I do it for the love I have for my club.
I left the game before HT today for a few reasons one being a sick child back at my apartment and another reason which only people who attend games will understand and that's the absolute embarrassment of standing watching a thumping like that happen .
I've been through that like everyone else has way to many times over the last 10 years and today I'd had enough so left with many others.
Fed up yeah but Scandalous definitely not ..

All in all I can respect your decision. It really was hard to watch tbf and with a sick kid home, that’s a good decision.

I don’t go to games? I frequently go to games every season and I did work in England a couple of years albeit it’s 10 years ago.

I never liked fans going because we’re losing. I do understand @The1974s decision though. He has a sick child at home and is fecking fed up. I would probably go for those reasons myself.

Also they have you on sky sports, filming the away fans when we went 4-0 down, you could end up on the internet as a meme, not for me

Watched till half time. Then checked later to see that Antony had scored around 60 mins, so watched again. Then City scored again. Turned it back off and watched the rest later

i watched the 1st half, 2nd half is just listening to commentary till there are goals, i switch back to the browser tab that show the replay of goals.

I always watch until the end, but can’t blame those who turned it off at HT.

Well I agree to some extent what people do or don’t do at home. But at the stadium you should stand behind the team. We are obviously going against the best team in the premier league. Maybe the best team in the world. They are getting better and better and luckily we are not meeting them more than one more time in the league.

Stand behind the team is my message. We support the club in good and bad days.

Not necessarily disagreeing with your point, but isn't it the team's job to make sure the stadiums are filled? e.g. play better? play with more passion?
After all, they are the ones being paid millions. And fans have to actually pay good money to watch them play. So how is it scandalous that fans are fed up that they wasted money yet again on watching shitty football.

Always watch to the end and if there's a bad performance I'll generally wallow in the building fury

Yesterday I was fully invested up to the third and then came to accept we're just not at that level and the scars of the previous regimes still loom large. I watched the rest but was reasonably OK with it, glad we took a bit of the edge off the goal difference but was under no illusion that if they'd played at the same level we'd never have scored those either

A sobering day but it's early in the ETH reign and at least that fixture is out of the way. No one is stopping City this season

How can you be a fan if you only watch when you’re winning or stand a chance at winning?

Watch till the end. Always!

Most if y’all would have left & missed the 5-3 Spurs match.

Yeah you stick to sitting on the sofa and turn it over to songs of praise. Not for me

Watching that game is the only reason why I keep watching games where we have been completely blown away in the first half. A similar comeback is something you’d hope to witness once again.

Also an incredibly naive and deluded “Ooo we’re going to come back from this” flew across my mind after Antony scored yesterday.

After the third city goal went in I turned it off and did something else. Great move on my part. Reclaimed an hour that would have otherwise been wasted watching us continue to get mauled.

I would turn off the TV and pretend it didn’t happen. Years of watching United games making me an expert on that.

Likewise.

Was a half hearted, come on, we’re coming back from this! Whilst a little voice inside of me was like “no we ain’t”

:(:(

Watched until 3 nil. After that I kept it on and half watched as I scrolled the interent or watched youtube.

Wasn't even mad to be honest. Happy we scored a few. Onto the next game.

I walked out when it went 5-1... we were 6-1 down before I got out the ground. Just utterly grim yesterday.

You don't want to be leaving early, but am I disappointed I did? Nope. Potentially being held in after the final whistle with a trek back into town because the trams are absolutely hammered... or head to town and meet your mates who are already there and sink a few beers. Meh.

Watch till the end, I can't just walk out or turn it off and at the same time expect the players to not give up

Do you think it affects the players when they see the away end 2/3rd`s empty?

Seeing the away fans leaving early yesterday reminded me of when we took a pasting at Stamford Bridge in 2016. We were 4-0 down but United's away end was loud - singing defiantly. So much so that Conte had to try and galvanise Chelsea fans.

Yesterday emphasised just how badly bruised United fans have been left. These heavy defeats are hard to stomach. We're like a wounded animal, scuttling away.

I usually put a bet on City to beat United so I have a bit of brass as consolation. However, did not do this yesterday because I have been unwell and also odds offered by bookies are not good.

I tried really hard but turned it off at 4 - 0. We had guests round and I didn't want to be even more of a miserable cnut. Plus they've been so common recently I can't really take it.

oh course i did.. I genuinely thought we would show some sort of fightback sooner rather than later. but by half time it was very clear that wasnt happening..

I did turn it over when Foden hit his hat trick though.. that was final straw for me

My suggestion would be to try and upgrade the quality of your guests if they are so 'common'.

It was my gf's best mate so she wouldn't give a shit about football and I didn't want to ruin their day since they only get to see each other 3 or 4 times a year.

its not a big ask to leave the TV on and continue sitting in your comfortable arm chair

If I was at the game Id say for sure get the feck out there and avoid the traffic afterwards

Surely it's the opposite. If you're physically there then the fans can feel your support.

If you're at home it makes no difference to a single thing except the person watching's anger.

Nope. It's about fun and excitement. Getting obliterated is neither. So off I go. Simple as.
