Do we have enough depth to compete this campaign?

If Lingard and Jones are staying as it seems then it should be fine.
 
I get the logic of us not doing anything now, but only if we stick to the plan of Rangnick going 'upstairs', and giving the new manager a full say on the current sqaud and who he wants to buy, (with alot of Rangnick's help hopefully.)

You just struggle to trust the club though, and it's easy to see us promising alot between now and the next transfer window, and still have no one in or out come the start of the season.
 
We’ll be ok, ok being defined as competing for fourth place. With the exception of Donny, none of the outgoing players would have made the difference between fourth and fifth place. And since Ralf refused to play Donny — it is said he’s shit in training — his absence isn’t an issue.
 
Shola is a top talent. Plays really well for the U23s and has looked more physically ready than last year.

I wouldnt mind Jesse staying or Pellistri being recalled.

We really dont need to do anything drastic. These are fringe players that will mostly sit on the bench.

Just bring one of the three names above into the fold and we'll be fine.

Midfield quality needs to be better but accepted the fact we're doing nothing until the summer now
 
It might be sensible to recall Pellistri. He's hardly featuring for a team second from bottom. Getting the odd run out here will be better for his bedding in period anyway. Unless we were to re-loan him to a club where he actually plays.

Don’t think it’s that serious. Only Martial is on loan while lingard and jones are staying.

Plus it’s not like we are fighting for trophies on multiple fronts. It’s just 4th place.
 
Yes. The only player in that list that has played a lot is Mason. He is a big loss, but we will still cope. The rest of those players only got the odd few minutes off the bench. I am concerned about the midfield. If we have injuries and have to count on Matic to play multiple games, we're going to be in trouble. We're going to have to hope that we don't have to count on him for any extended period of time.

If it's real money from Newcastle we should let him go and just use Pogba or Mata off the bench for the 1-2 games it would matter, or use a youngster, or go 3-5-2 for a one off if we have to. Shoretire and Hannibal and Iqbal are on the Champions league B-list.
