Do we have a chance with Hazard?

although I like him but we have other positions that need new and better player, especially CB, RW and CDM. We already have new Ryan Giggs, AM11 in LW position and we also have a headache with Sanchez.

If Real want him he's going there.

However if they decide not to go for him, it's going to be very interesting to see what happens. Normally I'd say he'd definitely stay at Chelsea in that case, but with all the issues they are having he may really want out. It won't be us since he normally plays off the left and that's the last spot we need to work on.

A left winger?? Please no.
Hazard is good. He is free to go to the team that would want him. As of now it seems Real are not interested

He is an excellent player but;

1. He comes across as a little inconsistent, though that might be because Chelsea over-rely on him. Might just be my limited perception of him though.
2. We have an excellent young player at LW. We'd risk losing him if we put peak Hazard in his place.
3. He'd be very very expensive.
4. He wants to go to Real Madrid/try a different league

I'd put everything I have on him not going to another Premier League club directly from Chelsea if he were to leave. So, the answer is no unfortunately.

no thanks. we don't need more 29 year old players on big wages.

This is a strange one, until recently I thought he was going to Madrid, but right now with Vinicius I'm starting to feel that Madrid might prioritize spending money elsewhere unless Hazard doesn't cost much. If not Madrid then where? I think he already ruled out PSG, Bayern perhaps? Juventus? But they probably won't be willing to spend as much on a transfer fee either. It will be interesting to see what will happen.

Another player who loves playing from the left and would take up a chunk of the budget. We should go for a rw.

I think Chelsea have had the best of him tbh, I don't see him improving much and at 28 he'll just decline from here. He'd cost a bomb, and although this might be an unpopular opinion, I've always thought he was pretty overrated anyway.

Not sure why this thread remains open yet the Meunier one is closed. Hazard has even specifically said that he won’t join United.

No thanks. Screams of another Sanchez situation if he wants to come to us.
I know it's no chance but come on...how is it another Sanchez situation? Completely different players and Hazard is playing phenomenal football whilst Sanchez was already faltering at Arsenal. I'd happily spend £100m on Hazard as we'd getting a great player.

Saying that, if we were to spend £100m on a player I'd rather sign Sancho than Hazard due to the age difference and growth that is still within Sancho as a player. The thought of Sancho, Rashford and Martial as our front three is so exciting

29 soon.
Last thing we need is another washed up left winger looking for his last mega contract.

I mean no doubt he’d probably be fecking amazing for us but would it really be worth displacing Martial for and using the funds that could be used elsewhere to bring him in.
Don’t think it’s really worth it.

Title should probably change to Do we really want a chance at Hazard.

No chance. Chelsea can’t buy anyone for 18 months so won’t be selling anyone

He would be a terrible fit for the squad at the moment. Especially meaning it will take funds from elsewhere.

No chance at all whatsoever, if he stays in England he'll just sign an extension at Chelsea, It's Madrid or Chelsea nothing else.

Hahaha did I just read that rightoffer them martial?

Not a chance, why on earth would anyone want martial to leave....how ridiculous.

I find it incredibly strange that some United fans think Chelsea would even entertain the idea of selling Kante or Hazard. It’s like Chelsea trying to sign De Gea or Pogba..it’s absurd.

No, we have Martial in his position and we have to spend our money sorting out other positions.

Because he wants to leave and his contract runs out next year?

Chelsea would still not sell their talisman of the last 7 years to United. Chelsea would sell for cheaper price to a team outside the league.

Never say never. Arsenal didn’t want to sell Sanchez and Van Persie to United, but they still did. Not that I think it’ll happen or want United to spend the majority of the transfer budget on him, but I wouldn’t call it absurd to entertain the idea.

Arsenal owners care about nothing besides profit. Chelsea, for all the stick they get for being a plastic club, are run much better than Arsenal. I highly doubt they'd sell to anyone in the league, never mind United.

It's not impossible, but I really, really can't see it.

Really? They replaced Conte who won them two trophies with Sarri who has never won a trophy. They signed Morata to replace Batshuayi who had scored more goals than Morata. Now they’ve brought in Higuain to replace Morata who has scored more goals this season than Higuain. They once signed Lukaku to replace Drogba, then loaned Lukaku out and signed Drogba to replace Lukaku.
They sold David Luiz to PSG for £50 million, then bought David Luiz from PSG again for £34 million after David Luiz had knocked them out of the Champions League.
They hired Jose Mourinho, fired him then hired him and fired him again.
They bought Matic and sold him then bought him back and sold him, bought Bakayoko to replace him then loaned him then loaned someone to replace him.

Wow, fair play  Points well made. But the one thing missing from that list is selling a big player to a rival team. Both Chelsea & United aspire to win the PL, so for that reason alone, I can't see Chelsea selling. At the time Arsenal sold RVP, I don't really believe the owners had that same thirst & motivation to top the table as you/Chelsea have demonstrated.

They did sell us both Mata and Matic directly.

And both were still performing for them.
