That smile, it effects the opposition like the eye of Sauron...... feck I must be getting pissed, bringing Tolkien fanstasy to the forum....... feck it. Still more realistic than half of the crap I've be reading here recently.

You could read a transcript from the never ending story and find a more realistic take on life than some of the guff on here.

i feel sorry for you mate. maybe you need to move?

btw, is this lad rated higher than vela and dos santos' lads by mexicans?

I'm comfortable here, but the future, only god knows.

TV quality is shit. Imagine yourself watching a united game and the pundit saying "One player I'd put in a Welsh XI would be George Best, who never played in a world cup" :wenger: in your own fecking country, ignorant bitch.

Anyway, rant over.

Mexicans are hypocrites, when we signed him he suddenly became the best player in the planet, and now he hasn't scored he is the man who will put the country's name into shame. Out of 110 million population, the 98% of it knows feck all about football, and most of them are pundits/football writers.

Vela is highly rated but he has not played for Arsenal, so he is in a position of "let's hope he can do something in the world cup", and Giovani is in a position of "he was not good enough for that club totten-hum, but he was good in the gold cup and qualifiers, maybe he is the hope". So it all depends on form. If chicharito hits his top form then he'll be rated higher than Hugo Sanchez, if he doesn't then the country will be asking for his head in no time.

He will have to prove his worth once he is there, and should be good competition for Berbatov, if dimi wants to succeed, then he'll need to show chicharito how it's done. That's why I posted the gif here, he's delighted we're crucifying our own players.

I want to keep him now. Pissed off with everyone now. Berba will be our player of the season next year. You heard it here first.

Yep, when he scores an own goal for us whilst playing for Spurs against us in our last league game of the season, thus overtakng Chelsea and winning us the title

Fergusons response when asked if he was going to sell Berbatov "No, no, no, definitely not," Alluding to the speculation linking Berbatov to Milan and Bayern Munich, Ferguson said: "The problem with a club like Manchester United is the expectation and attention is always there. There's speculation every season and some of them have you signing 100 players. You have to deal with that. There's been a lot [written] on Berbatov in terms of his future but we know he is a good player. He is a fantastic footballer and he will be with us next year." Get over it people.!

He said less than 3 weeks ago that Foster would definitely stay and be 'tremendous' for us next year...

United striker Dimitar Berbatov tracked by Juventus, Milan and Wolfsburg | Mail Online
Dimitar Berbatov's agent has admitted holding tentative talks with other clubs over the sale of the Manchester United striker.

Berbatov, who has retired from international football with Bulgaria, stated last week that he had no intention of leaving United, despite a disappointing two seasons since his £30.7m arrival from Tottenham.

But his agent Emil Dantchev said: 'There have been theoretical talks about Berbatov moving to other clubs but at this moment I can't say any more.

'At the moment he is a Manchester United player. Berbatov has two years left on his contract and that is the only fact.

'His club situation is one of many, many reasons why he retired from playing for Bulgaria.'

Juventus, AC Milan and Wolfsburg are among interested clubs.

The Languid One is currently enjoying his holidays in Bulgaria. Planning to go to the beach next week, current focus is hitting the night clubs in Sofia.

Lets get him fully rested so he can return next year and be our player of the season. All done languidly of course.

He looked very calm and happy the other night at the club, I timed how long it took him to get his glass from the table to his lips, 1 minute 42 seconds. He is resting well. I have great expectations for the future!

Sir Alex Ferguson insists Manchester United have no intention of selling Dimitar Berbatov this summer.

The Bulgarian striker has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford following his £30.75million move from Tottenham in August 2008, scoring just 26 goals in two seasons.

But Ferguson has no plans to offload the "fantastic" 29-year-old.

"No, no, definitely not," he said.

"That's a problem with a club like United - there's expectation and the media attention is always there.

"There's speculation every year - some summers I'm signing 100 players. You've got to live with that sort of media hype about the club. There's been a bit about Berbatov in terms of his future but we know he's a good player.

"He's a fantastic footballer and he'll be with us next year."

Berbatov will, therefore, be part of the Red Devils' squad which tours Canada and the United States in July.

United's eight World Cup stars will be given a break after their exploits in South Africa. They will not travel to North America and Ferguson has indicated they could miss the start of the new Barclays Premier League season.

Speaking to Toronto radio station FAN 590, he said: "The players who will be going on the tour, the big names, the established names from Manchester United over the last 20 years - (Paul) Scholes, (Gary) Neville, (Ryan) Giggs - will all be there, (Edwin) Van der Sar, Berbatov, (Darren) Fletcher, (John) O'Shea... all these players. We're bringing a very strong squad.

"My intention anyway is to start the season with the squad I'm bringing on tour because the World Cup can be a draining experience for players - it's the biggest tournament of their lives. They need rest.

"We'll give all the players a 28-day rest after their last game so we intend to start the season without them."

Ferguson also praised the Glazer family, who own the club, for the constant support despite much criticism.

"They've been great owners," he said. "They have supported me every way I've asked them.

"There's no other reason to think they haven't supported me. If you look at any time I've wanted a player they've provided the money; if you look at what we've done this season - and people don't recognise this - we've spent over £20million on young players.

"We've bought Chris Smalling, Mame Diouf and Javier Hernandez.

"People don't realise how we're structured and how we see our future of the club. We've always based it on a nucleus and foundation of young players developing in the club."

The demand for instant success, though, and the "greed" of foreign owners makes Ferguson believe a salary cap will not be introduced in football any time soon.

"I don't think so," he said. "This has been talked about for many, many years. There must be concern about the level of salaries in the game.

"But, football is worldwide game and there's a lot of greed, particularly with the types of owners that come into the game - Russians, Americans, Middle-East owners.

"Salary caps will not come into their domain in the sense of the wealth they have and what they can do with that wealth.

"They can attract the best players through that wealth and I just don't see that salary caps come into their area of thinking."

Meanwhile, Ferguson is backing old friend Jose Mourinho to guide Inter Milan to victory in tomorrow's Champions League final against Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu.

He still has a feeling of regret, though, that Inter find themselves up against Bayern rather than his United side.

"We should have been in that final," he said, before recalling his team's quarter-final exit to the Bavarians and in particular the dismissal of Rafael da Silva.

"We murdered Bayern Munich and just didn't have the luck on the night and had a terrible refereeing decision against us in the game that changed the whole course of it.

"If you look at Bayern in all the games this season, they have carried a bit of luck. Maybe their name's on the cup.

"But, make no mistake - Inter are the better team. Inter are a very, very good team. Mourinho has changed that whole club around.

"I think they are the best team. They can win it but Bayern are carrying luck and you just worry about that."

Full stop, get behind the lad because he's here for the long term.

back to the OP:

I feckin well hope it is Dimitar.

That is all.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Do you really think Sir Alex would be willing to come out and say, no he's been shit and we're trying to pawn him off to the highest bidder????

Because that is exactly what is being done at the moment. Carrick will be very lucky to survive aswell.

That's two seperate interviews where he's categorically said that Berbatov will be here next season he couldn't have been more clear about it. If he wanted to evade the question he would have done, it's not like SAF is famed for his candidness in interviews.

Why evade the question when all it will do is leave everybody assuming that he's out on his arse and thus lowering his price?

Oh of course you're right, as we speak David Gill is hashing out a swap deal with Athletico Madrid for Aguero that sends Berba the other way, Ferguson only unequivocally reaffirmed his faith in the player in order to drive a hard bargain. I think you'll have to wait until September for the truth to dawn on you.

Whole team is being sold off right now as we speak, especially Rooney - SAF saying he is happy with his squad and maybe just needing one person means he is only keeping 1 person and selling off the rest - just trying to drive up their price. Makes perfect sense, it's opposite day at the kindergartden.

What amuses me most during transfer season, and the lead up to transfer season, is that despite what ANYONE says people have something to cite and say no that means he's on his way.

Vidic says that he's staying. "Oh yeah but Ronaldo said that, he's off"

SAF says that Berba is staying. "Oh yeah but he said that about Veron"

I find it kind of strange that despite the World and his Wife knowing we are hundreds of millions in debt and can't compete in the transfer market in a significant manner we are still routinely linked with World stars on the sports pages and on websites when clearly it is just fantasy.
Berba was always going to stay. No club wants him at anywhere near what United payed and even at half-price we would still be struggling to put together a deal to bring in somebody like Benzema or David Villa(sorry, no re-sale value).
Makes me feel a bit sick in the back of my throat when I hear Fergie spouting the Glazer/Gill bullshit.
One minute it is all £80 million of the Ronaldo deal is there to spend. Lie. Next it is talk of no value, narrrow markets. feckin bullshit and we all know it.
