This has been my first Diablo game and have enjoyed it quite a bit. Have a bad habit of wanting to complete everything in one area before moving on to the next, so have ended up finishing the campaign at level 60
Feels like the game has only just begun now that I have, a lot to do it seems. My question is would it be possible for me to solo the level 70 dungeon at around level 63? My Bulwark exploding Druid build has been tearing through everything including a few helltides, facetanking everything and everyone. I haven’t felt that big a difference between the world tiers so don’t know if it would be significantly harder.

Yeah, I cleared it around that level. Wasn't able to complete much WT4 content until I got some ancestral gear though. Best tip is to do helltides on WT3 and save ~350 cinders, then log out and back in on WT4 and spend them on the mystery chests. In case you don't know it, www.helltides.com is a good resource for farming mystery chests.
Season 1 starts on July 20 with new:
- story with a new endboss
- items (legendary,uniques)
- aspects
- journey with rewards
- powers from gems
- mechanics and dungeons
- cosmetics through battlepass with 90 tiers (27 free, and 63 premium)
We have to create new chars, but Altars of Lilith, renown, the mount, discovered areas on the map and option to skip the campaign will be available from start, if you've accomplished them on your eternal character.
Once the season ends, the character, its progress and its seasonal stash will be transferred to the eternal realm except the seasonal gems. Blizzards idea behind this is, to allow a "crazy and fun design" in seasons without fearing to destroy the main game's balance. So the normal items will stay with you, the seasonal gems with those new seasonal powers will vanish with season's end.

It sounds good for season 1, I expected less. But it will depend on the new powers of the malignant gems how much the play style will differ from our normal characters.
I throw away the resource burning ones. I dont have time for perm mana drain almost.Quality of life advice here:
Always read your NM dungeon affixes before doing the dungeon. I've just spent half an hour in a dungeon with my fire sorc, because that dungeon had the "monsters take 60% less burning dmg" affix and I noticed it only at the end
This last patch was complete bs. Nerf after nerf. Sorc was nerfed into the ground and given a shitty unique wand with random teleport on it that is teleporting people into the ground for the few that can even find it.
Nerf the Cinder drop rate in helltides. Increase the amount needed for mystery chest why?
I'm literally not excited for Season 1 at all today.
Devs already had to backtrack on some of the changes like reverting the level requirement for WT3 and 4 they changed. How they didnt see that all these nerfs were bad is baffling.
Its absolutely crap isn't it. I'd already stopped playing it as the ratio of good drop to bad drop was absolutely mad, vendoring and scrapping 99.% of items (plus the enchanting fees are insane). Was looking forward to coming back to the improvements in season 1 then saw the patch notes and was just completely deflated. I'm not going to bother with it as it stands. The game was already a slog and theyve decided to make it even more so with no incentives to continue playing.
Might go back to Diablo 3.
Yeah i cant see any reason to keep going in endgame. Its just nightmare dungeon after nightmare dungeon and perhaps if i manage a tier 23 in WT4 after 20 hours of playing i might 1 item i might actually use. Its baffling it doesnt have a traditional ng+ since Diablo is known for that.
Exactly my sentiment. Didn't expect to feel like I wasted 70 bucks, but right now I kinda do.Agree with the general sentiment here. Got my character more or less min maxed by level 75 and after that had no incentive to keep playing.
Just hit a wall. Getting any better gear was near enough impossible, and had no motivation to grind the repetitive end game content.
With the season 1 patch notes, there's nothing that excites me enough to get back into it. Gameplay loop will be exactly the same, albeit harder with all the nerfs.
It was (mostly) fun while it lasted but I'll probably leave it for a few seasons and see where the game is next year. Disappointing, really.
But BG3 is around the corner. Can't wait for that!

BG3 sounds amazing but not sure if I could get used to only turn based combat. Unless I am misremembering at least in BG2 you could switch to real time action, no?
To me its just another sign they rushed to a deadline and didn't even give it a one over. It's like the font being changed right before release. I mean those are things that surely would have come up a long time ago in all the beta testing etc and don't take much to put into code.Ugh, just playing it casually so not really up in arms about all that but that gems tab should have been there from the get go. No idea how that passed quality control
As I said playing it casually so all that ng+ and long term grindfest and balancing stuff isn‘t on my radar right now - for that I thinks it‘s very polished all around, comparing it with most of the other AAA games I‘ve bought day one there aren‘t many bugs (at least in my realm ) too so this sticks really out to me.To me its just another sign they rushed to a deadline and didn't even give it a one over. Was expecting big buffs for season 1 but they never came so went with Necro instead.
I’m guessing that BG3 shits all over this then?
They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. BG3 is a masterpiece made by a studio who actually cares. Diablo 4 is a mediocre game made by the richest game developers looking for a cash grab.
It’s more that I’m tempted to trade in FF XVI and Jedi Survivor for Diablo as I’ve platinumed both but if BG3 is as good as people are saying then I’m happy to wait for that fix.
Looking at Diablo videos it doesn’t look like anything much more exciting than 3 was and this thread died pretty quickly.
