Just cleared all my Crota strikes. Got three shards, a pair of boots and the rest energy. Can't wait until I reach Crota's Bane rank 4 and I can convert all that energy into shards.

Should I buy this game if I never play online? is the campaign worth it?
Probably not. You can blast through all the story missions of the main game in 7 hours and if you did that then you'd wonder why you bothered.
Unless you like looter shooter games where you have to replay bits of the game many times in order to find better gear and level it up. I'd steer well clear.
I'd also say that Destiny is best played with friends, so again if you're not going to team up with others you'll be missing the best stuff.
Destiny has to be played online, even if you are playing by yourself.
The game really needs to be played with people though.

I can't log in, PSN is down? But I saw what he's selling. It's honestly a joke now, every week is just disappointing. NLB is one of the worst guns in the game and it's an exotic. I was hoping for Red Death tbh or heart of praxic fire at least.
Yeah, Lizard Squad are attacking PSN. Have been for a long time. Those with pre-DLC Gjallarhorns have something to look forward to, everyone else is pretty much disappointed.

Still widespread problems with some getting in though Xbox is apparently stable. Frustrating and as I said in the PlayStation thread shocking that it has taken this long.
According to Anonymous's Twitter, still a shitload of DDoS attacks coming from China at the moment. Haven't checked the PS4 thread, will use that for further updates.

Pretty good but quite repetitive. Some like it, some don't. Those who are most likely to reply to you in here will be a bit biased as we've stuck through it since pretty much the beginning.
Would only take two to three weeks to catch up to a certain extent depending on how much time you put in and how the RNG side of things favours you. There's a level cap which makes it easier for new players to catch up.
It'll most likely last for a while yet. Really hard to say on that side of things. The next expansion will probably be out in March.
Best aspect of the game is playing with others. I don't really do PvP, but doing the raid kind of content in PvE with other caf members is good.

I've got him on my PSN from when he played in the FIFA team a year ago and yesterday before PSN was brought down, I saw him playing it as a new character. He won't have played much of it, and will probably be a bit frustrated with the connectivity issues which is on the PSN side, but he'll likely give you a good opinion of it.
The story side of things is pretty much nonexistent, though there is a heck of a lot of lore that is stored in the form of grimoire cards. It's once you get to level 20 and beyond that you probably really see what the game has to offer, and also makes you think of what could have been. From the regular caf crew in the mains, @Anustart89 is one of the newest converts so could be another to give you a fresh point of view, but he's got three characters and has played around 350 hours so he's an addict.

Going to bed now but if you have any questions @rcoobc I'd be happy to answer them after I get off work tomorrow. The main thing I love about the game is the social aspect of it, in that the harder stuff (raids mostly) requires voice communication to work well, and it also makes it a lot more fun when doing all the other stuff on there, like daily bounties and all that. I teamed up with @Brocky In Black and we've been on party chat on pretty much daily basis since I got the game. You can always find people from here who will help you get through the content up to level 20, but you might want to do it at your own pace with your first character so you get the hang of game mechanics, the story etc.
How grindy does the game feel? Is the co op gameplay good enough to make the grind for gear enjoyable?

it is very grindy. Coop is very good though. Playing with others is the only real reason I've stuck with the game.
