the bungie forum is now unavailable. Seems it can't handle the load from people coming to complain about the latest news.
Yeh Icebreaker is the only must relevel weapon for me as well.I shant be releveling any gear, ill just do the new stuff to get to 32.
out side of icebreaker i dont have any exotics id be that desperate to relevel.
"You’ll need three things. First, you need to own the original version of that exotic item, and turn it in to exchange for the upgraded version. It doesn’t matter if this old version of the item is brand new or fully upgraded. To complete the upgrade, you’ll also need to turn in an exotic shard. This recently introduced new material is available for purchase for seven strange coins from Xur, or by breaking down another existing exotic item in your inventory. Finally, each exotic upgrade costs a hefty dose of cash – around 7000 glimmer as of my playthrough of the expansion in mid-November. After turning all three of these things into Xur, he’ll hand you a brand new version of your item with a higher defense or attack value cap.
It’s important to note that this process resets the upgrades on your exotic item, but you’ll now have a new higher damage or defense cap to work towards – so you’ll need to decide if you’d rather keep your fully upgraded old version of a weapon or armor piece, or start over. With that said, the process of upgrading exotic items is now faster, and does not require ascendant materials. Instead, the last slot requires one additional exotic shard, as revealed in Monday’s patch."
TBF, it's an 'opt-in' thing. You can keep your exotics at their current level, if you want to.Hopefully they'll react to the response. It seems crazy, just shitting on their core fanbase. "Oh, you enjoy the game enough to grind away, levelling gear? Well feck you, that time is now a complete waste"
That would be true, except that you can do the same upgrade on a gun that hasn't been levelled at all. So those that put the time into upgrading now have absolutely nothing to show for it compared to someone who picked up the gun and never used it. It would make more sense if the gun had to be fully levelled in order to exchange it.TBF, it's an 'opt-in' thing. You can keep your exotics at their current level, if you want to.
Whether doing so means that you would be so less effective in the new raids that they become nigh on impossible, or not, is what counts, I guess.
Oh yeah, of course. I just don't see how it justifies the insane internet rage that's going on. Yeah, they should have probably mentioned it before the recent patch, at least....but it's going to take most people a couple of days to have a weapon back to max. Less, if you use one of the booster thingymabobs. It's really not a huge issue, imo. That would be true, except that you can do the same upgrade on a gun that hasn't been levelled at all. Me and 2 friends will probably be doing normal tonight if your interested. Will let you know for sure later.Completed HM, still no VoC
Been trying to find a normal group for my Titan but getting people to learn how to kill Templar is so painful.
I will jump in with my 27 Warlock, if possible. Not sure how he will fare, though, as I have really only done HM with my Hunter.Me and 2 friends will probably be doing normal tonight if your interested. Will let you know for sure later.
Yeah 27 should be fine. You will feel the same way you did at 29 on HM really. It's much easier to do aswell as you can be revived.I will jump in with my 27 Warlock, if possible. Not sure how he will fare, though, as I have really only done HM with my Hunter.
Ha! sleep up, take some medicine and get your war face on soldier.I'm up for that assuming this illness hasn't killed me by then.
I'm in. But would anyone mind if I did a lot of switching? I need to do the oracles with my warlock, the templar with my titan, then probably the rest with my warlock.Who is up for HM tonight? I've got the oracle checkpoint
- me
- afro
Add me up (tomfoolery33) and I'll do daily with you if you haven't already.I'm in. Just logging in now, if anyone wants to team up and run some daily stuff, before the raid...?

Yeah, i had a couple of bounties to get out of the way and I need glimmer.I'm fine just doing whatever by the way. Didn't need to do Cerberus Vae but was a nice way to just use some of the many resupply codes I've got
Shards. I tend not to get them in the raid...Congrats! You get the shards from the daily or was it the exp you needed?
Haha! I wondered what had happened. I was pissing about with the raid sparrow, using the double boost until it exploded, to see if it hurt enemies when it did. For the record, I don't think it does, but it can obviously kill teammates if I hit them hard enough!Yeah, i had a couple of bounties to get out of the way and I need glimmer.
@tom33 - You boosted into me on your Sparrow, slammed me into a door frame and killed me stone dead.
Just picked up the exotic bounty for Pocket Infinity.
You guys got any preference on what to do? Strikes? PvP? Bounties?
