Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Anyone up for normal raid later today?

Yeah. The hard mode raid attempt can be finished when Ducklegs is 30 as I think that might be best to have as many 30s as possible @mitChley, @Adam-Utd, @afrocentricity

I am stuck see as I had done most of the easy bounties before Mpower invited me to the raid where I got them from, I was literally on the way to turning the PS4 off when I got his invite.
If I can get some easy ones this evening Ill bank them across the two warlocks and do it in one hit if we are not raiding tonight.

I am hoping for any of the following:
Overcharge
Hive majors.
Sensor mites.
9000xp without dying.
The servitor one from the archive.
Melee kills.
Kills without damage.
Precision damage.

Any of those and I can probably do two sets of them in an hour and have it done.

You're in luck. Two sensor mites and kills without damage are there.

Not played this for ages coz I was sick of the grind trying to find higher light armour.. Played it at the weekend on PVP for the first time - loved it. And so much quicker than strikes!

I gave up with strikes because it didn't seem like I would ever be able to afford any of the high end armour (purple stuff) or get my vanguard level up - so much easier to get your crucible level up as it doesn't rely on bounties and I will be able to afford some purple stuff soon - once my crucible level goes up anyway.

I jsut find it soul destroying putting in all of this effort and most of the time I don't get a reward at the end of each game - and if I do the light is usually lower than my current! I'm still rocking a level 16 gun :( (level 23 player)

Really hate the post level 20 system - great game though

So, if you were reviewing this game, what score would everyone give it?

Sensor mites is literally two minutes work, the quickest 7.5k of experience is that and kill 10 hive majors cause you just go to cosmodrome and go in the tunnels and kill the instantly respawning yellow bar hive.
Literally is just 2 minutes work.

Yeah the post level 20 system needs work as it is basically out of your control to an extent due to the RNG nature. Though strikes take a while and can get boring due to repetitive nature, I do suggest trying doing some again as you can get quite a few blue engrams from them and lately I've picked up some legendary engrams too. With crucible there's no guarantee of getting any reward at all like you say

Yeah it's great. I hope they don't remove the hive from that room.

So, if you were reviewing this game, what score would everyone give it?

Really difficult game to review score-wise.

Technically, there's a huge amount wrong with it - Connection issues, non-existent story, unbalanced gameplay, repetition.

But, as far as value for money its been awesome, bought it on launch and haven't really stopped playing. Getting a kick out of both the competitive multiplayer and the PVE. The gunplay is amongst the best and most responsive I've ever seen on a console game.

I'd give it a safe 4 stars.

I dont think i could give it a score.
Almost all of my entertainment from it comes from playing with the guys at various missions/raid.
Biggest laugh ive had in ages was last week where one of the dutch team i played with could not do the jumping puzzle and just completely lost his shit.

I'd say its a 10/10 shooter wrapped in a 2/10 mmo.

Its worth it for the shooting tbh but theres no shortage of problems.

@Damien Yeah I will be about to finish it tonight, we need as many 30's as we can though realistically.

So is anyone having a crack at the normal raid then? Wouldn't mind getting my feet wet for the first time.

I'll join you to make up numbers, could bring a mate along too. Both 28s. PS4?

mufcmcrae is my PSN name.

Haven't really followed the thread so I'll ask: Are you guys planning to do the hard mode raid this week? I'm a 30 warlock (haven't done HM yet though) and I'd like to try it on hard.

Who is 30 out of the four of us who did it yesterday? afro and now me and that's it? There'll be two spaces so I think it's best to wait until Ducklegs hits 30 before attempting to finish it off.

Console? On PS4 we've got a gatekeeper hard check point. If need be we could do that, then start off from the beginning again for you to get the rest of the stuff

So for normal raid later we've got

@Ducklegs
@Damien

an me, then possibly hard raid after?

Yep. I've got 3 characters so can do fresh NM on my 28 Titan, 29 Hunter can do a fresh HM and my 30 Warlock has a Gatekeeper HM checkpoint (I think Ducklegs said his Warlock has Atheon checkpoint but don't think he'd mind doing the Gatekeeper again quickly as it wouldn't take long if he gets to 30)

I'd say it is a solid 7 game. Mechanic wise the shooting and gameplay is very good. Though it is let down by a total lack of story and massive grind level system after level 20. That and countless bugs/glitches in the, particularly the final boss in the hard raid

PS4. I'll be online from around 8 (uk time) today, so drop an invite if you have a free spot for the raid. PSN id is razvanbeldescu.

I'd agree with that. Apparently there may be something done to reduce the grinding in regards to getting the materials (spirit bloom, spinmetal etc)

I need to do it once more so if tom hasn't done it yet when you're both on we can do it together.

Yeah, that's cool. I have my Thunderlord fully leveled up now. I got the Fatebringer, Plan C and P&T, so it should be easy work.

In terms of arc weapons I've got feck all - just P&T and Found Verdict but shotgun isn't really any use in this. Coped fine the last two times anyway without it, and with your weapons it should be a sinch.

P&T is very handy. I ran it under 40 mins on my main. If we all go under the platform and snipe Archon Pries then it's really quick.

You got the Ice Beaker, so that's more than enough.

Solar works pretty well for those shank shields, P&T is more than good enough. Your heavy can be anything really.

@Damien you done the daily?

Nope, not done the daily, weekly or nightfall on my Titan. I'll join your fireteam in a sec.

Yeah on the last two attempts I used Ice Breaker for special and Corrective Measure for heavy which worked fine

I need to level up my hunter(think it's level 6), cba to run through the stories by myself, anyone else got an alt they need to level up that's around a similar level?
