Took the words out of my mouth, has anyone actually done start to finish on hard? I've got to the Templar, but someone always died so everyone just jumped off the side to restart. Was tough and boring

I have, last Sunday night.

To get past the Templar we need to defend the confluxes, when they despawn we all run like feck to the cave to the left of the area and hide till the mobs despawn.

When that is done we wipe, two go down and hold the right hand spawn point while four others snipe oracles And snipers
 
Just doing my first raid. :drool:

On Templar. We keep getting wiped out though. A 29, 2 x 28, 3 x 27 (just). That last round I had 92 kills and 15 oracle kills and next highest was like 47 and 2!

At least I'm playing anyway, even if I won't ever get past Templar. :lol:
 
Ok the obvious answer is that I was shite, but you lot were racking up twice and 3 times the amount of kills I was. What weapons are you all using. I just had pulse rifle and shotgun
 
Well done all. We didn't make it past the first phase but we really did get into a rhythm there. When it's the left and right conflux, there probably needs to be more concentrating on the left than right (though having the two in the middle like we did probably helped in the end). We did okay but then it got very frantic at the end of the last attempt and we all died.

100% agree about leveling up guns. I'll be doing my best to level up Atheon's Epilogue before we attempt it tomorrow. Obviously VoC is better, but the void damage of AE will come in handy for when dealing with the minotaurs.

You ideally need an auto rifle and a void heavy.

You did ok, it's fecking tough.

:lol: You did fine. I wasn't getting that many kills at times either but I put that down to being furthest back when defending the central conflux so there's not as many for me to deal with. My loadout is an autorifle/sniper rifle/machine gun - all void damage type (or will be when I get AE leveled)
 
So who was it who did it then? Tekkers, Ducklegs, PlayerOne, Randall, me and Adam? Really did well, just need to arrange a time to start tomorrow (if we're doing it then), probably evening sometime.

You were fine, at least you weren't dying a lot. It's hard to be great like me and @Adam-Utd, we're pros.

Jokes aside, I had a look at your set up and it's not ideal. You need the Suros and get it fully levelled. I use a fusion rifle as my second, my Plan C is fully upgraded but if you can get a void fusion rifle then it's perfect. I have the Wizard 77 and it does void damage, it's pretty handy.

Got to try and get everyone on a mic tomorrow as well, we need to hear the calls for the heavies and then the oracles later.

Yes I think the pulse rifles are a little slow for this, and they do gobble up the ammo. I am going to level up my VOC, as I found it was doing just as much damage at 246 than my 300 shadow price.

I run something similar. Got Shadow Price at 300, Wizard 77 maxed out as well. When I can be bothered getting 32 more Helium I'll have The Swarm with Void at 300 too. Bought the Suros today to give me something to play with over the weekend.

Almost back to Level 29 now after rejigging armoury this week. Glad to be rid of the queens stuff. Just need 6 shards and I'll be 109 light.

Also can see why you guys love raiding. This is gaming as it should be. I was invited from the Tower by 6 southern lads who enjoyed the footy banter and had a good craic. Not enough of that online these days.

What's VoC like at full auto? Debating whether to try to level VoC or AE. VoC has a lot more impact which is very useful but then AE has void which is useful for minotaurs... decisions, decisions

I personally really like it, it fires as fast as u can repeatedly press the trigger, and the recoil is quite controllable. Sometimes though if there are several enemies coming a nice fast machine gun is required, but generally picking off enemies 1 by 1 is a piece of cake with this.

I have not upgraded any damage yet, and it was killing the goblins easy on the hard raid, I would say like 3/4 shots?.

Obviously though like you say Void damage in the VOG helps a lot, so it's a hard toss up. You can unlock auto fire quite early on teh VOC though, so it won't take you too long to decide what you like more.
 
Cheers. Yeah I think I'll work on VoC a bit (at least until I get auto fire) and decide then. Will most likely be using VoC most of the time in PvE, it's just for the raid where there's different things to consider
