Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

I've finally got an exotic bounty. Anyone got an opinion on whether I should go for 'A Dubious Task' which I'm told gives a shotgun, or 'A Light in the Dark' which gives a hand cannon? The third option gives a Pulse rifle and, seeing as I already have an exotic and 2 legendary pulse rifles, I don't think it's worth me bothering with that.

Ok, so I had a closer look at the guns themselves and the pulse rifle just looks ridiculous, so I actually went for that in the end. Need to do a weekly heroic strike for the first task, so who's in?
 
5-6 is fine for me, I'll be on sometime before to do the daily and attempt to level up a bit.
 
Best,place to get one strange coin? That is all I need for exotic gun

What time does the guy leave at tomorrow?
 
Damn, so tonight is my last hope. I have 77 vanguard points for the week so I will keep doing strikes later to max that out and hopefully get a coin
 
This ascendant shard shit is starting to get annoying, I need two more to upgrade but it's so hard to find any.

Spamming public events is a pretty good way to get them. I linked a site that tracks them a few pages back. Just google destiny public event tracker and you'll find it.

Got about 7 the other day from spamming them.

Bad Juju is meant to be a bit crap actually. Its getting buffed soon though.
I would have recommended the shotgun. The handgun and bad juju look pretty underwhelming to me really.

Ah, never mind, I probably ought have gone for that anyway, but I don't really use shotguns. I was drawn in by the fact that the pulse rifle said it was fully automatic and instant reload (if I remember correctly). Probably munches through ammo as a result though!

I think its just weak, its getting buffed though so.
If you dont use shotguns its not much of a loss.

It's only instant reload when you get a kill, which is useful in PvE but terrible in PvP. I've just unlocked the gun and it's miles away from being fully upgraded, but it feels a bit crap so far.

The machine gun, Super Good Advice, is just awful. Terrible recoil, nowhere near as good as my legendary MG.

The shotgun, Invective, is decent once you get used to it. It's a slow reload but the full auto 4 shotgun shots is excellent.

Agreed with you about different people coming in and out not helping much. Here's the team that started yesterday. Only if any aren't available should others come in:

There seem to be a lot of people interested in the raid. Do we have enough people to make another 6?
 
Upgraded my legendary helmet using some shards so think I won't buy the exotic from xur, I'll wait until next week.

The coins and shards take so long to stock up, I'm using them wisely. And I never seem to get legendary guns, only got two in the last week so hopefully my luck has changed.

Not far off level 28 now!
