Damn. He has a hot prospect in the Jan window. What happened?

Actually he was a hot prospect abt 2 yrs ago. Last season and half wasn't great, and coupled with contract running down ended up at Juve in Jan.

I don't think his time at Juve has been great.

More to do with the fact he was available for £5m. Juventus will get £30m for him. That’s smart business.

Do you honestly really believe the buy option will be activated?

Last season we had a similar buy option for Saul Niguez and look where he is now, back being Atletico's problem.

We're bringing him in just to act as injury cover. That said, if he somehow manages to surprise us all then buying him on a permanent deal is of course within the realms of possibility but I'd say there's about a 5-10% chance of that.

Trust me, being a Chelsea fan I've seen countless of our infamous 'loan army' players go out on loan after loan and the buy options are so rarely triggered that they might as well not exist in the first place and this Zakaria deal is no different. He'll have to be a massive success for us to even think about bringing him in on a permanent deal.

I dont see whats funny. The clue is in your own statement. 5 mill. Where was the risk? Chelsea have a buy option for 30mill! Not as if Juve got done. It just never worked out. And dont forget we were desperate as fk for a midfielder in Jan
Kinda agree. Good punt for Juve if Chelsea pay that, although some would consider it exorbitant currently. But if he actually replaces Kante, that 30mil might seem cheap. Still thinking he might not be all the way back from previous injury.

Imagine if he actually came here & was worthy, we might not have had to field McFred. Big if, but maybe we would have been more attractive to certain players. All this written without checking to see how he played at Juve.
