It's a good torrent site but there's better private ones out there. Demonoid is full of crap and I don't like the layout, it's also hard to get a lot of torrents going at full speed.

I only really use it when I can't find a torrent on another site.

To be fair, Demonoid's nowhere near as good as it used to be. A lot of the torrents there are on other trackers much quicker. They're also downloaded much quicker because apparently no-one on Demonoid bothers with uploading what they download.

That said, Demonoid's pretty good for eBooks.

its because they dont have a ratio watch, having said that, its great for getting hard to find torrents or downloading large torrents so it doesn´t affect your ratio on other private trackers

Public crap, badly ripped crap. They don't nuke torrents that are badly ripped or have problems like other private sites do, so you have to rely on the comments of users who already downloaded it. It's almost as unsafe as using a public torrent site in some ways. It's not as quick to get the new stuff either, and even when the new stuff (i.e. a new episode of Dexter) gets put up, it takes longer to get it going at full speed cause the ratio of uploaders to downloaders is always worse.

Demonoid is good, and it's big, but it ain't the best!

Yeh IPTorrents is mint, very tough on ratios though. The-Box is great for British TV, I've another private site that I use but they don't like being mentioned on forums and such.

Ill never go back to torrents.


£20 for 6 months of rapidshare/hotfile and you wont either. You get full speed right from the get go.

no need for seeding, and seeing as your not uploading anything whatsoever , the the chances of getting done for piracy are about 0.000000001%
