He had two shaky moments early on (the terrible positioning for the offside goal and trying to come for the high ball that drifted out but completely missing it) but grew into it after that.
He’s not timid. Go review his season at sheff Utd, just needs to grow into the role, he’s very young for a top club keeper. He looks a bit timid, but he looks good so far.
I was commenting on this game. I know he's very young for a Gk, especially for top club. I wish he had time to learn from Romero, as the later has that commanding aura. He’s not timid. Go review his season at sheff Utd, just needs to grow into the role, he’s very young for a top club keeper.

It was a decent save, but he had to make it really.I'm not sure what to make of the free-kick save, looked fantastic but if it had gone in, would he be at fault?
Were they?I know quite a few were desperate for one of those shots to squirm under him. Disappointment for them I guess.
I've been about 2 feet from Dean Henderson, he's about as far from timid as you get the danger with him is going the OTHER way and getting a bit too cocky, honestly. He's shouty for a young keeper. He looks a bit timid, but he looks good so far.
I thought he had a great game, superb save from the free kick, a number of other solid saves and more than that his pass out for the pogba goal was brilliant... never seen Degea do that.
Said it before, i was commenting for this game only. He might be a mouthful beast with Sheffield but I didn't watch him closely there.I've been about 2 feet from Dean Henderson, he's about as far from timid as you get the danger with him is going the OTHER way and getting a bit too cocky, honestly. Sus positioning for that offside goal but he had a difficult game to deal with today and he's come through it. Great kick to set up our goal as well!
One of them is the best paid keeper in the world and in his prime years. The other is playing his second season in the PL and hasn't gotten much gametime yet this season.De Gea conceded the same goal and was heavily criticised, double standarts here again. Overall I think not a bad game for him.
Still, the fact the he even went out for that one meant the west ham player couldn't head it in towards goal. It was bad that he missed the ball, but it still showed why a goalkeeper leaving his line is necessaryHe had two shaky moments early on (the terrible positioning for the offside goal and trying to come for the high ball that drifted out but completely missing it) but grew into it after that.
Shame you didn’t state he looks a bit timid in this game then.I was commenting on this game. I know he's very young for a Gk, especially for top club. I wish he had time to learn from Romero, as the later has that commanding aura.
I mean everyone is talking about this game...Shame you didn’t state he looks a bit timid in this game then.
Terrible positioning for the disallowed goal so very lucky with that and as others have said seemed really timid not the proactive antithesis some would have led you to believe.
He’s got a lot to learn before we put him anywhere near De Gea, VDS and Schmeichel levels of performance.
Credit where it’s due for a good pass today though it did go out of the lines so again we got lucky on that front.
I want him to succeed here so it’s one less position to worry about but I’ve yet to see him do anything in a United shirt that no other decent GK could do. Whereas De Gea, VDS and Schmeichel all had some sort of X factor something that made them above others. He’s still young and hopefully he’ll show us his best in a few years but right now I think he needs more time before getting close to usurping De Gea.
Not really, I was referring to his previous season at Sheffield Utd. Bit like if I was watching Greenwood earlier this season and stated he doesn’t look like a good finisher, I’d expect to get pulled up on it, as it’s common knowledge he is.I mean everyone is talking about this game...
Have you ever heard of narrowing the angle?
I was expecting a few images of that incident from behind the goal showing it was out but saw nothing. It just looked like Moyes was the only one who thought it was out.
A Sheff Utd poster on here said he wouldn’t have made much difference. If you want an example of how good this kid is, take a look at Sheffield United this season.
Hopefully he becomes the example of what a really good loan spell can do for a player. I reckon he should become our number one by end of 2021
I think it would take a big disaster of Joe Hart proportions for him not to be number 1Agree about the loans. Seems a long time since we had a successful loan, perhaps Tuanzebe, although that seemed to be disrupted by injury.
not sure he will become our no 1 - but let the best man win, and whatever the end result is, the competition looks to be giving us a net benefit.

He looks hungry and I think he will get better with more games.
. The test will be when we have complete control on a game and the opposition get one chance

His positioning was suspect at the offside goal but this happened to Big dave before too.
I think he saved a goal going against Haller, no matter how clumsy it looked, was brave to go outnd before the frenchman could set himself up for a good shooting positions he was there to let him think about something else.
Great coming off his line for our first goal, don't think DDG would make that.
And I he's got a good long throw on him unlike DDG.
Seems pretty relaxed and confident in the cage overal, I so far never feared of him making a mistake, looks very assured to me.
The question is if he can every match DDGs cat reflexes but so far he didn't have much time to show them.
Mentality wise, I hope he's not another J. Pickford. However I think he's done well for someone who plays one in 5 games or so, that is never easy.
I am all for Deano to take over from DDG when he´s ready but Dave´s reflexes are still there, only just produce one of the saves of the season last game against PSG. I don´t see that many goalies making this kind of save, diving low so quick but I´d hope to see Henderson show more of that, also DDGs positioning is top class, making him grat keeper on the line. It´s the rate of his mistakes which is the biggest issueDe Gea's cat reflexes aren't all that anymore, at least compared to 4-5 years ago. Henderson isn't a large drop off in terms of shot stopping, and is noticeably better at distributing the ball and communicating with his defenders. As he's on almost 1/3 the wages I'd say that's more than a fair deal.
