Neuer is moving to Bayern and I believe the transfer of De Gea to United is all but sealed. Hence, I did not put up their names.

Defence wise we are quite well-stocked and settled. The retirement of Neville has negligible impact as his appearances have been far and between for 4 seasons now. Varane could be coming in as one for the future but I believe most would not have seen enough of him to make a judgement. If Evra leaves though (Inter and Real were reportedly interested. Bayern just signed Rafinha but they might like the prospect of Ribery-Evra on their left and Robben-Lahm on their right), we might see a surprise arrival, possibly Coentrao or Baines.

i would gladly take Fabregas, Bale, Schweinsteiger and Rodwell. I would sell Gibson. Money doesnt matter to me. Unless United budget cant afford it all. But if United has the money feck do i care. they can spend 2 billions for a right players.
 
Surprised how many people wouldn't accept £10m for Cleverly, but would accept £7m for Gibson.

Cleverly hasn't set the world alight at Wigan. I can see him going out somewhere else for another season, or perhaps I'm underrating him? Surely to expect a decent shot at starting for United you'd expect to be a dominant player at the likes of Wigan.

Gibson on the other hand had put in some decent performances for us (and some bad of course). I don't see him being sold until the youth cup winning midfield are ready to step up.

No, he's not worth that much...but it's difficult to put a true valuation on players....in Messi's case, there's no chance his signing would help us rake in that type of cash from success on the pitch, sponsors and what not. Besides, I'd rather have Iniesta+Xavi than Messi.

I wouldn't. Xavi is coming to end of his career, Messi isn't too far into his and is getting better and better.

I'd rather have Fabregas & Iniesta than Messi.

Yeah that is a good point actually. I think Messi can be handled, but when he's got the movement of Iniesta and Xavi behind him you just don't know who to pick up.

Where as without those two behind him you can concetrate more easily on him.

Not by much I dont think. That defence is better than Barca's, and some would argue that top 3 is better than Barca's too.
