So for a year they wanted Dave but they waited till the last minute to work it all out.
Maybe he's coming out with this because David has told him he's signing with United? A pre-emptive strike maybe?
I'm absolutely terrible at cryptic crosswords but I got that in about 5 seconds! That's the one. Tore my hair out with that clue.
Nah, according to him we blocked all modes of communication and said De Gea wasn't for sale until 2 hours before deadline. What else could they do? Poor Madrid. So for a year they wanted Dave but they waited till the last minute to work it all out.
Perez is on the charm offensive as i thought. Unless De Gea signs a new contract with United, i will continue believing that Perez played United and De Gea. We can have the last laugh IF De Gea signs, otherwise Perez gets him for free next summer as he planned.
He said that FIFA knows that the documents arrived late and insists in the idea that United didn´t want to put a a price to David. He didn´t appeal because Tebas said that they wouldn´t have any option with la Liga.
I don´t know if it´s the real version of events but I also don´t think that United is saying all the truth. He also said that De Gea contract was signed before but was Navas deal which was delayed. Actually last year happened the same with Coentrao and Di María was signed near the deadline.
Anyway yesterday wrote that Madrid officials can´t believe that J.A Sánchez, with all his experience, missed the transfer, they wonder if something else could happen. Today the press (british) writes that De Gea is angry and considers that United boycotted the transfer. Accounting all maybe Madrid version is not so crazy
I think that he will renew, even in the interview he is saying that didn´t talk to David. After what happened David can´t risk his career without a contract. The question is if will be release clause in the new contract. He's clearly on the charm offensive because he's seen the reports that David could renew with us.
It would be a huge, huge embarrassment if that happened.
Does he realise this doesn't make sense? Everton didn't want to talk to Chelsea about Stones yet that didn't stop 4 bids being lodged.Nah, according to him we blocked all modes of communication and said De Gea wasn't for sale until 2 hours before deadline. What else could they do? Poor Madrid.
Not a chance will there be a release clause. United have DDG over a barrell, sign it or not.I think that he will renew, even in the interview he is saying that didn´t talk to David. Edit: The Sun wrote he was angry with United, that doesn't really count.
If what Perez is saying is true he should appeal even if knows it will fail, this would surely result in Fifa releasing their findings and calling United out, the fact he hasn't leaves me to believe Madrid were the main cause of is going wrong.
A saw a report today whereby a club official has come out and said that DDG will not be sidelined whether or not he signs a new contract and the team will be picked on merit..it was on ESPN.Not a chance will there be a release clause. United have DDG over a barrell, sign it or not.
Also, didn't he just admit to tapping up De Gea? Could Barcelona do us a favour and report them?
@Vato, @carvajal About this bit, is there some confusion in the translation?Even his own story contradict itself, we only told them we were willing to sell De Gea two hours before the deadline and yet we still magically had eight hours to waste in sending back the documents and we were only supposedly late by 1 minute. feck football folks, we've a fecking time machine.
Probably, but doesn't care as there'll always be people who lap it up.Does he realise this doesn't make sense? Everton didn't want to talk to Chelsea about Stones yet that didn't stop 4 bids being lodged.
Or the fact he didn't have to wait for United for this time stamp. They could have submitted and stamped their own documents hours before and as soon as United uploaded theirs they were 99% there.
According to Sid Lowe that is
Not a chance will there be a release clause. United have DDG over a barrell, sign it or not.
He said that De Gea contract was agreed in the afternoon, later they sent Navas contract to United and was sent back 8 hours later.
What's there to win for us? That's right, nothing...Edit: The Sun wrote he was angry with United, that doesn't really count.

haha, newbie club . Florentino is enjoying talking about United

End of the day we gave Real a big open goal. We said the price we wanted in cash (or Ramos in exchange) early into the window. Yes, the price is expensive for a player on the last year of their contract but the importance of De Gea to us warranted that asking price which Real could afford to pay if they wanted to.
We didn't play De Gea for a number of reasons - might not be 100% focused, might play within himself if he did play and reduce likelihood of him picking up any injury which could put at risk the move he wanted. All Real had to do was bid the asking price or put in a reasonable offer.
Analogy would be the twitter vid above. Perez is Gunnersaurus, De Gea is the ball and the goal is Real Madrid.
