Day 20: Brazil vs. Colombia

Am I right in saying that it wasn't a red card because Luiz was covering? Seen many claiming it should be red

The forward was through in easy tap in range. By rule it's a red card. But this ref has his own rules.

Omg I could see he was running off before he'd even done it. What a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime

Paulinho must be a long lost Jackson brother.

Have Brazil strung a move together this half? They've been shocking.

Right seriously, just because he gave a blatant penalty suddenly means he can't be swaying in favour of Brazil? If he didn't give that they'd be obvious investigations into it. What he HAS done is give Brazil the benefit of the doubt constantly. Given the second yellow card of the match to a player committing they're first foul (and much softer than some of the other non-yellow challenges). Rodriguez has been targeted all game with fouls and the ref has refused to dish a yellow out to a Brazil player. Given offsides when the players in offside positions weren't receiving the ball.

It's not the obvious decisions you worry about in match fixing. It's the small decisions throughout the game that make it that much harder for the opposition when nothing is going their way.
