Day 19: Brazil vs Mexico and Belgium vs Japan

What is it with the Mexican players not passing when countering?

Yet again a great chance ends in a shot from 20 yards out.. what is with them. So many low percentage shots

He was one of the best keepers in the world last season

He was rubbish in both CL semi finals ..... the biggest games Roma had played in Europe since 1984

Lozano is a good talent, but don't understand why some United fans want him, last thing we need is another inconsistent LW if you asked me.
He will be shooting from distance each time that he has the ball.

I wouldn’t want him at United.

Are they that stupid?

Several times in good attacking positions and ended with a stupid shots.

Hey Mexico, I don't mind if you're eliminated now.

And Willian had the opportunity to make that run because Neymar freed up space. If there is no space, you can't accelerate. If Neymar doesn't make that run, there's nobody on the end of that finish.

Its not like the run required any skill on Neymar's part. He had to make it to get into a central position.

And he was the main reason they made the semi final. Also it's not like he made any clear mistake. De gea had a shit world cup. Does that make him a shit keeper?

Slagged him off in the first half, but Willian has been great in the second half

I am sorry but releasing a good pass to a player alone has little to do with respect. That is just dumb decision making

None of them really believe they can beat Brazil, which contributes to the stupid decision making.

I’m wondering the same. Where is the coach? Didn’t he say something at HT?

I feel for Ochoa. He can’t beat Brazil alone.

He's right footed. LW is supposedly his best position to cut on his strong foot.
I take that back, he plays on the left for PSV.

Either way, he’s been very dangerous on the right for Mexico and I personally don’t buy into the whole “you’ve gotta play wingers inverted” bit. There’s still room in the game for a shifty right footed right winger (see Willian).

The backpass however did. And besides, something that is efficient doesn't always require extraordinary skill, but rather just footballing intelligence. He knew where to pass it to in order to create danger in the first place.

Yeah they’re extremely wasteful. Always choosing the wrong option.
