Day 19: Brazil vs Mexico and Belgium vs Japan

Mexico should switch Lozano and Vela. Both doing well but on the wrong sides for shots on goal. I'm sure both would still be doing as well.

Mexico suffering from poor decision making in the final third again

Sort of related to the game given he's commentating - When I was a lot younger and saw Ally Mcoist on MOTD, I thought he was the only one that spoke sense. Was really pissed when he went to pursue coaching roles.

Now that I see him in commentary I can't help but feel he's still pretty decent to hear.

Anyone else reckon he's alright at commentary / punditry?

Don't you have pause / time shift on your STB?
Nope and I'm too nosey for that anyway. Cant help but check the score.

I'm the idiot that spoils a tv show for himself by not being able to contain himself from reading about spoilers.

This match is too noisy.

Every game i'm asking, why Jesus is playing. He offers nothing.

Don't think Mexico can keep the pace for 90 minutes, they need the first goal.

Brazil are better now. Mexico will pay for their terrible decision making in the final third I believe.

Yeah so far I like him.

He doesn't seem to have all the usual opinions on certain players, just says it how he sees it. I suppose it's because he doesn't have any English club favouritisms.

Mexico under serious pressure now. Totally unable to get the ball out of their own half.

Had 18/1 that would've landed if one of them scored in the first half :(

I've only caught the last 10 minutes. Has it been as boring as it looks?
Basically yes.

Mexico started better and had the initiative for 20 min or so, but with no real threat on the goal (bad decision making in the final third). Brazil improved and tested the goalkeeper couple of times, but meh overall.

Why do Jesus, Willian play every matches ?
It's not like Brazil doesn't have better options
