Day 18: Croatia vs Brazil | Netherlands vs Argentina (QF 1&2)

Croatia is better in midfield but have weak attacking options.

Neymar, as great as he is, his finishing in the most important games always seems a let down from what I've seen. So many times he (and Mbappe too to be fair) have missed great chances for PSG in CL knockout games, including the final with Bayern.
Can you think of others? His finishing was great in the one other big final - Barca vs Juve. I don't think he's fit at all today.

If he wasn't Brazilian, he wouldn't be this hyped up. Barca signing him made no sense
So glad he didn’t end up at Chelsea.. and that’s saying something because we are shite in the final 3rd. Brazilian Pulisic.

Croatia play better, specially in midfield. They're just not threatening

Was worried about that for them. Can definitely match Brazil but, outside of Perisic, I don't know where the goals come from.

He should be changin Neymar, not Vinicus. There goes the vertical threat down the left.

Brazil using a lot of their firepower early - clearly don't want ET/Pens

Can see Brazil nicking this late on but neither of these sides will frighten France or Argentina (and probably not even Netherlands)

Croatia are so blunt going forward. Why was Rebic not picked?

On the scale of shit tattoos, that Brozovic effort has to be right up there.

I don't know where this Croatian keeper plays but he's ain't staying there for long.

Croatia’s midfield is brilliant. But you feel Brazil players are more capable of a moment of magic to break the deadlock.

Just various QF and SF games for PSG where I've seen him fluff his lines in front of goal. Unfortunately can't think of particular ones off hand but its definitely something that's stuck with me. I can definitely remember a couple against Chelsea but can't remember the year. Ironically I can't remember it ever being an issue when I watched him at Barca!!

Edit: and I don't think he had one that I remember against us, for PSG, in that two legs with Ole. To be fair this is probably a sample size of maybe 6-10 games I'm thinking of.

Neymar is bad but the problem is, Brazil can't even take the ball to their attackers so Neymar is pretty much the only option they have, no matter how bad he is.

Liking what I see from Livakovic - someone will be in for him in the summer
