David vs Goliath : Haye vs Valuev

Ahh. Didn't realise there was a separate thread for this.

What's the estimated time for the Haye fight?

If someone finds a decent stream drop us a PM, else im forced to listen to the radio.

In reference to the second quote what exactly is it you don’t agree with, that Holyfield was one of the best cruiserweights ever or that he started off as a light heavyweight.

Pacquaio started at junior flyweight. Do you think he's a blown up flyweight? Fighter's physiques mature as they get older.

Well, no shit Sherlock, you of course left out one important detail in your comparison and that is Pacquiao turned pro a few days after his 17 birthday, he was still a kid, underdeveloped and never had the opportunity to feel his way into boxing through the amateurs.
On the flips side Holyfield had a stellar amateur career, he had the opportunity to allow his body to adjust and he was still boxing all the way up to the age of 24 as a light heavyweight. Fast forward 7 years to when Pacquiao was 24, he had gained over 25 lbs, moved up four weight classes and was a few lbs off superfeather which he has fought most his career at.

Going back to Holyfield his move up to cruiser was not entirely based on changes to his body, if that, from what I’ve been told, as it was a less competitive division compared to the light heavyweight, his chances of a title shot was significantly greater where he was able fight for the title after just 12 fights as an pro!
It also allowed for a fight to be set up between Henry Tillman, the guy who won gold at the same games as Holyfield when he won bronze.

Now in comparison to Haye, Holyfield is naturally smaller, when he fought at cruiser most of his fights he weighed in below 190, where as Haye tips the scales at just under 200, In terms of physicality Haye is much most suited to the heavyweight then Holyfield, though in terms of heart, skill and grit Holyfield is hands down better, however he was never able to truely physically dominate an opponent as he was for the majority of the time the smaller guy.

Evander was 6'2 (and presumably still is),an inch shorter than Haye I think, had an incredible chin and resilience, and was one rarely at a strength disadvantage even in an era of giant heavyweights. He was hardly out of depth physically at heavyweight. Haye will have to do very fecking well to transition to heavyweight more easily and effectively than Holyfield did
At what point did I say Holyfield was ever out of his depth, you don’t become a 4 time heavyweight world champion and school Tyson if your are out of your depth, now do you?

Ordered now and looking forward to watching this. I cant see Haye winning.

I thought they werent meant to be getting into the ring till around 9.55pm?

If anyone has located a particularly well working stream for this fight, obviously I'd be very annoyed if you were send me the link for it via PM, because I wouldn't want to be associated with such scandalous illegality
