Strange performance from Gurney, trash for the first 4 sets then showed why he was #5 in the world until he missed his match dart and fell apart. Lewis played solid throughout and deserved the win
Yeah rhat was weird. Jamie Lewis is decent though- just hate that weird mouth thing he does.

Might be Anderson’s year, a lot of winners have survived match darts this year, Cross last world championship (Smith & MVG) Anderson @ Matchplay (Cullen missed 2), Price (Whitlock missed 5) at the GSOD, Wade in both his wins (Price, Hopp & Smith), Gurney at the players Championship (Searle)
Even if Adi wins tonight can’t see him getting past MVG, even though he played quite well in his first game everything looked it was forced rather then his smooth throw of years gone by
Hope so, just worry MVG has shown flashes of peak form. Just watching Cross match now (sparing wife more darts). He's looking very good again too.
Lewis looked pretty decent I thought. That Darius guy wasn't great, but Ady had been ill tbf. Could be a good 'un with MVG.
Missed the darts but at least back on the oche lunchtime today and tonight MVG v Lewis, should be good.
Van Gerwen is an absolute monster.
Yesterday Smith v Henderson was a great watch and then topped by Dobey v Anderson. Dissapointed with West and especially Van Den Bergh.

The darts has been piss this year. Too many players due to the inflated field, not enough quality and the ‘shocks’ have meant that the quarter finals have been a damp squib. Van Gerwen and Anderson might have a ding dong but that’s about it, I reckon.
Idiots in the crowd singing Toure chants is wearing a bit thin, too. Perhaps the crowds are still selling out but I think the whole thing is feeling a little tired.
Maybe it’s just me.

Don’t think Taylor would have made much difference unless he was in the bottom Quarter, as that lacked quality the moment Wright & Price went out in the first round proper.

If he's got any chance of beating Van Gerwen or Anderson he needs to be clinical. He was 51% on doubles, and 3 sets down. When you're playing one of those guys in the final you don't get opportunities to sit and chalk off doubles at your own pace.
