Littler goes 20-bull-bull on the Shanghai

Som surprising results yesterday but that's what I love about the UK Open, the way the draw is determined. Josh Rock unlucky to be drawn against Cross at this stage especially if you look at some of the other matchups (I mean, Barry vs Meikle, really?). Most games have a clear favorite but given a few upsets are usually on the cards, could be a stellar last 16 round.

From a Belgian POV, happy to see Huybrechts crash out and happy to see De Decker confirm his good form in 2024.

Been a good session, with Heta-Asp, Woodhouse-Smith, Clayton-Smith and Bunting-Doets all epics.

Also, Wright excellent 9-1 up on Gilding, was averaging 106, til finally losing that last leg...More signs Snakey still has it.

Chizzy would have beaten most players tonight, Littler won 10-5, most of his legs were around 15 darts basically forcing Chizzy to his constant 12 darters to win
Could be an all Luke final again as long as they are kept apart in the semis.

That was a brilliant match, such high quality barring the odd leg and so tense.

Littler could still learn a thing or two about being gracious in defeat though, completely the opposite to the likes of Cross earlier today.

Dimi in the final

Great chance for Humphries to add yet another major, as world champion right now.

Dimi is such a fecking clown. Goes up 10-8 then starts acting all weird and gets the audience against him at a crucial point :wenger:

Humphries is a class act though.

Someone on Reddit said he slows it down due to anxiety, he starts panicking and tries to calm himself down or something.

Still, it's feckin stupid.

Wow Humphries misses a match dart as well, fecking hell those last three lege were nerve wrecking.

Sure get a moment to get the heartrate down, but the way he goes about it is just strange imo. You just saw Humphries was getting annoyed at it as well.

Match darts at D16 too  not expected from Humphries.
Yeah indeed. Still though he performed nicely, off to a better start as world champion than Smith last year; doesn’t seem to want to slow down anytime soon.

Could be a cracking final if Smith turns up, but feel like Humphries is the overwhelming favorite for this one given how he's been playing tonight and last weekend.

Yep, and lethal on the doubles. Smith is setting himself up quite well most of the times but doesn’t even get a shot at them.

Humphries having two cold legs but still think he will finish this off.

Anyone see what happened to (apparently) upset this guy.

He said on Insta that he hopes Littlers arrogance will be punished. Extremely thin-skinned reaction because Littler tried a few unusual finishes in the game. Second time hes behaving a bit like a knobhead after the incident at the Grand Slam.

Littler always takes unconventional routes, odd thing to moan about.

Yeah, Pietreczko has a history of being a knob. Thought Littler reacted quite maturely, there’s a very mature head on those young shoulders. And yet another final, quite astonishing when you think about what he has achieved in such a short time at such a young age.

I don’t know where he gets arrogance from… for Littler specifically. So many darts players have similar reactions to Littler… all part of the game/atmosphere. I‘ve always liked a sportsman who’s very good at what they do and know it.

And if he doesn’t know Littler goes T19, D20, D20 (as he did) among a few different checkouts, he hasn’t been watching closely?
