Darts

Amazing doubles! Not giving the kid a sniff. Honestly Wright seems that good to me that I don’t understand why he isn’t world number 1.

Christ Dimi lost the second session 4-1 averaging 109.75 (but Wright was on over 122).

Really needs to keep his own leg now and make it 7-10 but doesn't look like it unfortunately.

Wright was amazing all week, well deserved win.

Kyle Anderson has died aged 33 :( really sad, especially at such a young age, RIP.

Bit short on details but could be Covid related.

He suffered from diabetes and was in and out of hospital regularly apparently.

He also suffered from depression but there is no information if it’s related. Anyhow sad tragedy for someone this young to die. He was a attractive darts player with some brilliant moments.

MVG just bottled a 5-3 lead, first to 6, in the 3rd round of a Hungarian tournament to Brendan Dolan. Both missed dart after dart at the deciding double.
Now, I understand MVG feeling the pressure at the Worlds etc but not here. This fall from grace is solidified for me. Any talk of MVG being back after a 1st round win or endless chatter about being close to his best really needs to end and we accept the player he now is

Hard to look past Wales to win it again.

This England-Brazil game is a real stinker. Really not sure about the Wade/Chizzy chemistry. The Taylor/Wade combo years back never worked either.

Wow Austria blew the doubles. Wright v Mensur should be good- Wright veering between brilliant and average, with hit and miss doubling.

MVG is currently getting schooled by Sherrock in the Nordic final
6-4 first to 11. She was waiting for 7-3 there he had to take it out

Some good first round matches, particularly Price v Smith. Wright usually seems to beat Cross from memory but Dominic v Searle, Chizzy v Mensur and DVD v Humphries decent too.
Shame it's not in Dublin for the atmosphere.

Classic Wade win, nicking the deciding leg with a 121 checkout on the bull.

Bunting the standout performer today so far.

Clayton looked good beating Jose and you don't expect White to pull off an epic comeback like that.
You get the feeling there will be a good few more Clayton - Price finals and this could be one of them.

Jose could do with playing with glasses again, small sample size but in the 3 games I have seen him play without them he hasn’t been hitting the 180’s like he use to.
