Danny Welbeck The Stupendous Defensive Winger

Those captions are like MOTD analysis for 5 year-olds.

manucudifan.... that you?

And on him being a defensive winger, he is no ugly

interesting video. So all the time he spent on the wings in the first team here and at Sunderland, has taught him quite a bit. He is a pretty intelligent player, but was not always hard-working. The time at Sunderland has helped with that.

I think he is a decent option on the wing when going 4-3-3, but I think his best position is that of a support striker. Unfortunately for him, Rooney has that position sealed. However, he does have the attributes to do well leading the line, as well as on the wing.

Thanks, you have reset my intelligence. Type letters with keyboard.

It's looks very much like someone new to football, made this video.

Evra runs in to space...

A pro would say Evra attacks the space

We banned John a little while after posting the above in the newbies.

I hate it when players accept being marked. You need someone who is going to stand up to a defender, and say 'No. I will not be marked by you today'.

Not making a really shit football video would counter act the abuse and reaction.

Watching that Chelsea game again just reminded me how many easy chances we missed. Gotta hand it to AVB, it's quite an achievement to make decent defenders so amazingly shit at defending in such a short space of time.

It's probably timed with the fact Terry and Cole look to be waning.

That David Luiz prat seems to be at the heart of all their worst defending. Wasn't he being hailed as the league's best central defender after his first couple of games for Chelsea?

Don't often agree with noodles about football but he was well ahead of the curve in calling out his shitness as a defender.

I'm not sure we're in a position to comment on defences going from watertight to leaky...

But, yeah, A1 video!

Didn't Ekeke say he would be the best defender in two years or something?

The guy has ridiculous positioning, and isn't close to the top quality defenders in this league.

Yes, he did, on checking through. But in fairness, Gillespie followed up by saying he could become the best defender in the league.

I think we need to seriously consider this: How can anyone resembling sideshow bob ever become the best defender in the league?

Watching Newcastle last night got me wondering whether they signed the wrong Sideshow Bob. Collocini has been absolutely outstanding this season IMO.

I think you'll find I was one of the first ones to call him up on it as well. Terrible defender, decent footballer. Not a CB at all.

Pogue that Chelsea game was last years, unless you've watched this years game via another video?

Yup, but mainly because he scored some goals and made some runs (attacking the space).

To his credit he didn't feature against Arsenal.
