Pretty sure Lindelof completed more dribbles on that right hand side, without throwing himself to the floor everytime.
He's always looking at the ball when he's dribbling. How did he not see Mason on that 2v1 situation. How ?
Agree with this. He definitely saw the pass, but decided it was quite a tough execution (ball was bouncing a bit I think) and decided to trust his own pace instead. It was the wrong decision but he didn’t just ignore/not see Greenwood.Pretty sure he did, I just think he just didn't trust his ability to deliver him the ball despite all the space.

We send the better more versatile one who obviously had lost all confidence in a United shirt. No chance he is better than Lingard yet we send the better more versatile player on loan.
I’m actually not sure that it’s selfishness. Seems to me that a lot of times when he needs to make a semi-difficult pass, he just doesn’t believe in himself (understandably so) and chooses an easier option — which was to run in a straight line in a hope of a foul in that case. That moment where he looks up, spots Greenwood, and keeps running with the ball has enraged me.
How? How can you be that selfish?
He’s insanely quick over the first few meters with his burst of acceleration, but a quick player with longer legs usually gets him in longer runs. Theo himself is very quick and he had that height (or, rather, step’s length) advantage over James, which helped him massively. He isn't even that quick? so many times he got passed Hernandez and then just suddenly slowed up and got smashed
Lingard wanted to leave, James is living the dream. No chance he is better than Lingard yet we send the better more versatile player on loan.
On reflection, we know he’s not the class of RW that we need however he tracks back well, has immense energy levels and can cause problems. He should have had a pen.I’m actually not sure that it’s selfishness. The better more versatile one that was patently failing here, scored 1 goal and needs to leave. His loss of confidence was down to other factors in his life but some seem to think it’s the club’s responsibility. He was rewarded with a huge contract which we are still honouring. He earned the right to live the dream but he needs to further his career elsewhere. We send the better more versatile one who obviously had lost all confidence in a United shirt.
I really thought we had adequate cover coming into this season but apparently not if keeps playing so much. 7 years and still no certified RW.
I have to say that I haven’t seen a penalty there. Decent squad option is a better description — very good squad option is someone like Park who has all the same strengths in terms of pressing & versatility, but is also a great player on his own capable of leading a club like PSV to a CL semi-final.On reflection, we know he’s not the class of RW that we need however he tracks back well, has immense energy levels and can cause problems. Very good squad option but we can say the same about Fred
I doubt we will buy one this year.
I'm struggling to see it with Dan James. Hope I'm wrong of course, but he's looking like the white Aaron Lennon to me.
The guy never lifts his head up. He's useful but he's like a selfish Aaron Lennon.
He's a speed merchant with no end product, the Welsh Aaron Lennon.
Good thing you aint thenIf I'm Diallo, and the coach keeps this guy on the pitch for 90 mins playing crap and doesn't give me a chance after scoring in the previous game I wouldn't know how motivated I'll be to training the next day.
Thats hyperbole. Hes been performing well lately.

No, sorry. Hes stepped up at exactly the right time when our other forwards have either lost form or are carrying injuries. Without him these last few weeks we'd have really struggled. Hes not Jadon Sancho obviously but hes doing a job like Ji Sung Park and Quinton Fortune did for us back in the day. Maybe hes not glamourous enough for you but for me hes turning in hard working performances that are helping to push us over the finish line.Your standards are very very low or you‘re Stevie Wonder
James is comfortably the worst player in the squad, a brain dead kick and run merchant with 0 skill, awful to watch
Good thing you aint then
He's a good squad player with potential to get better.
Nani was more than a good squad player. You're also remembering these players in their primes. Right now, James is doing a job but is unfortunately being overused. He will improve in the coming years and in his prime I wouldn't doubt him becoming a player as good as either Young or Park.Nani was a good squad player, Ji Sun Park, even Young. This guy is no where near any of them
Nonsense. DJ has done a fine job in the absence of our main attackers, he's got searing pace, an incredible work rate and a decent eye for goal. There are areas where he should and most likely will improve with more experience, such as decision making, composure and awareness but he's already useful to us.I’ve noticed on the caf that once you caveat it with ‘squad player’ - there is no standard too low for anyone. If a player is shit, that’s fine, he can just be a squad player. There are players, even PL level players, that are not good enough to be squad players at United - and Dan James in that category.
He did see Mason, you could see he actually looked up at him, what he didn't fancy was the pass.
I think he'd rather have a run at the defence then attempt a pass, Greenwood was in tons of space at that point.
