The low level of the loan was a bit of a surprise - suggesting he was only in and around the first team squad because of the number of injuries and not because it was thought he was very close to breaking through ability wise.Any update on this? Is he still injured? Hasn't been on the bench for any recent games as far as I can see.
What a shit loan this has turned into. All for the chance of some games with League 1 strugglers. We should either have secured him something higher level or just kept him.
You're right of course. But in terms of morale and visibility, being injured on loan to a L1 side fighting for survival is a lot worse than being injured at your home club. The low level of the loan was a bit of a surprise - suggesting he was only in and around the first team squad because of the number of injuries and not because it was thought he was very close to breaking through ability wise.
But the fact it's gone the way it has with him picking up an injury so quickly is just bad luck. That could have happened on any loan - we've had more than our fair share of them ourselves this season!
Hannibal is in a bad situation as well. The loan arrangements for the high hopes turn out so badly this season. Maybe just pure unlucky. But I want to see an improvement after the new upper structure is in place.Frustrating. But in keeping with our injury ravaged season.
Not many of our loans are bearing fruit this season. This one feels more frustrating as he should have got game time, and hopefully done decent at that level, but for an unfortunate injury.
Are we sure he’s not back at United for treatment? He can go back to his parent club for treatment without the loan being terminated.Don’t get why he is stil out in loan if this is true. Recall him and let him be dealt with by our medical team. As bad as ours seems they must be better than port vales staff.
