Was just coming in here to say he's looked a lot better in the 2nd half .. and he promptly goes and loses the bald lad for that chance.
 
Tuanzebe is a better centre back.
 
He is an OK back up but he loses far too many headers. He makes a lot of mistakes too. I really want us to just get another CB in and not wait for Rojo to come back.
 
Absolutely shocking performance. Must be the worst individual display this season from one of our players. Lost almost every duel in the last 20 minutes
 
What the heck is he doing in a back four when the opponent is playing one high ball into the box after another. Way too small for that. Abysmal but not to fault. He can't grow bigger suddenly. Awful call to let him on the pitch

We invited too many headers by sitting deep. He should only play at CB when we try to dominate the match through possesion; we are getting more and more withdrawn every game. Nearly every defender was out of position today because they have so much work to do.
 
As ive said before, he's pretty solid when we're dominating teams and he just needs to do a simple clean up job. But when things get nervy and we are under pressure, he's a timebomb.
 
Big Blind fan but its hard to defend him - bad game. Needs to step up.

Stop being a drama queen, there was a period when our attacking players were producing 1/10 performances. He was poor but by no means the worst performance even if you compare to what Rooney or half a dozen others pulled last weekend at Arsenal.

Defensively for sure. Complete liability. His bottom level is League one stuff
 
He's capable of having stinkers for whole 90 minutes, I think Jose might drop him in the final for this performance.
 
Needs to be on top of his game in the final. Still better than Smalling and Jones.
 
It will be massive to see if Jose will put him against his childhood club. His Ajax legend father will be watching like the rest of his family, friends and significant other.

Quite important test of mentality ahead of him.
 
He's a wreck at CB.

Every time the ball comes into our box, he runs into oblivion and leaves a huge gap! Smalling and Jones are pretty wank too, but they're both twice as good as Blind
 
Even last season Blind would have a run of perfectly decent performances then throw in a complete nightmare. For reasons unknown, his skill level tonight was Jones/Smalling level, never-mind his aerial issues.

I like him, and have often defended him on here, but tonight he was awful, made three big mistakes in the first 30 minutes or so, he was generally poor to say the least, but he wasn't the only one.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's Smalling and Jones at CB in the Final, assuming they both manage to avoid getting injured between now and then.
 
Kasper Dolberg is 6 3 and he is not your average tall brute of a CF. He's quite smart and good on the ball, I hope Blind doesn't get completely dominated by him like he did tonight. I can't recall him winning a single header, even the chance Guidetti fecked up at the death came because Blind failed to win his header.
 
Thought he'd played his way out of the final until the sending off. Still might have done if the chuckle brothers stay fit during the remaining league games.

Jose clearly prefers Smalling but didn't Blind and Jones put some decent performances in together? Hard keeping track of our defence.
