D-Day for KEANO

It's 6-25p.m. and no decision yet made. Shows it's not as easy as everyone thinks. 6 months here and 6 months there, they're at it all the time, they wanted him banned for life - and a few others - after the d'urso incident. They never give up! If it wasn't Keane, it would be Scholes or Beckham and then Fergie.

This whole witch hunt is a pile of fecking shite.

Roy Keane wrote a book in which he told the truth.

So fecking what?

He was punished for the tackle already.

Enough. The FA are the most spineless bunch of wankers ever to walk the planet. The reason they probably won't decide tonight is that they want to wait to see what the tabloids say tomorrow. Then they'll do exactly what the redtops tell them to do.

There's only one Keano!

GUILTY

sentence to be anounced soon ......

Take them to court I say.

They're saying on MUTV that he can appeal...

i think so but i really really doubt he's gonna escape a ban :( .... 10 games is what some are saying.... i'm hoping for 6 which will bring him back for the liverpool game ;)

<img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> :( <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> :( <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> :(

5 matches <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

According to MUTV, the ban starts on 4 November and takes in the matches against Manchester City, West Ham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal. He has 14 days to appeal.

If he does NOT appeal then he missed four league matches and the league cup match, back for West Ham away and ahead of the Newcastle-Liverpool-Arsenal series.

Sky News bastards on Keane's history say the 1999 treble success was because of and INSPITE OF Keane (as he was suspended from the CL final...).

Obviously there is a question of when the ban starts (if there is no appeal, etc). Normally it's two weeks, but I rememember last season when Henry was banned and Arsenal had an option of starting the ban immidiately.

So if there is no appeal, I expect it to apply here as well.

Sky News confirm: United have 14 days to appeal.

Some good news...MUTV has just said that because there's a Worthington Cup match in that timeframe, Keane WILL be able to play the Arsenal match.

since he's injured anyway it would be foolish to appeal. his guilt was never in question, seems to me a fair verdict.

If there is a two-week delay, Keane misses: Southampton (H), Leicester (H), Man City (A), West Ham (A), Newcastle (H).

Back for Liverpool in the worst scenario.

As you can imagine The Customer Relations Unit is not in a position to debate with supporters on their opinions. What one football fan feels is an injustice another will feel is a correct decision. The Customer Relations Unit will always try to be as open and accountable as possible, but cannot elaborate on the stance of The Football Association. If you require clarification on Rules and Regulations , or why certain decisions were made The Customer Relations Unit would be happy to enlighten you.

And at this stage one wonders if Fergie and Quieroz's 'Oh he's SO CLOSE to returning' really was a trick to make sure any ban doesn't really cost us.

14 day appeal period. That's the only concession they have given him.

No point in doing so, though on the principle of the thing Keano should appeal. However, the appeal will be overruled.

why so people say things which they are not sure is true???????

Manutd.com says it'll begin on 4 November and he'll thus miss the matches v. Leicester, Man City, West Ham, Newcastle and Liverpool.

MUTV is saying the ban starts on the 4th of November which means the Liverpool match would be the last match missed because the 3rd round Worthington Cup match would count in the suspension. Does anyone know the dates for the 4th round Worthington Cup matches? Any chance we could get really lucky and that the 4th round match could fall before the Liverpool match?

pardon me, why does the ban has to start three weeks from now? What's the rationale behind this???

Last season, there was the Henry thing... is there any consistency watsoever??

Cos United asked for a three week abstention?

If that is the case we will appeal, which means looking at which matches he will or won't miss is pointless.

but did we?

from that article, i infer that they purposely start the ban based on the forecasted date of Roy's return...

That just seems to be the BBC/Ananova guess. I mean, surely the FA can't say 'Ok Roy you've been found guilty. Now let's start the ban, ahem, say, November 4! Yep, thats a nice date!'.
