Yeah. They should have contacted the person who did this statue

THat's one awful statue, looks nothing like him, and dimensions are all wrong. But who cares, author has made an erection so it's all good, he'll be happy about it, Ronaldo too of course.

A friend just sent me this. Apparently he has won the same 8 trophies / awards now with both United and Madrid:

League, domestic cup, Super cup / Charity shield, player of the year, golden boot, Ballon d'Or, Champions League and Club World Cup. Both with United and Real.

How can he have created more chances than anyone else with 14 when Fabregas has 16 assists?

"Clear-cut" a fair chunk of Fabregas's assists have been set piece taking ones. Ronaldo's are all primarily in open play.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a final third player so that sounds about right.

Something like that, on twitter yesterday I saw he's had more assists at Chelsea than Wilshere has had in his Arsenal career.

If twitter is the source, I find it hard to believe. 16 is an incredible number in a few months.

Something like that, on twitter yesterday I saw he's had more assists at Chelsea than Wilshere has had in his Arsenal career.

I think he has 2 goals and 12 assists in the league, 2 goals and 4 assists in the CL, and one assist in the Mickey Mouse Cup.

So 17 assists and 4 goals in total. Not a bad signing.

On the other hand, Ronaldo currently has 16 assists and 32 goals in 25 games. Guy is a fecking beast.

That he is! He should be back firing after the La Liga winter break too, the rest will do him good. He's only gone two matches without scoring mind you, but with him it seems like forever

Ronaldo is a pure goal scorer he lacks a lot of things in his game
He creates plenty of chances and gets many assists for someone who is just a "pure goalscorer".
the guy has played in 3 CL finals and had poor games in all of them even though he scored in his first final for United he was no where to be seen on the pitch.
He was far from poor in his first CL final and dominated Essien in that game both physically in the air and several times in one on ones. His first half in particular was great beating Essien many times in the air and on the ground, scoring a goal as well as providing a great cross to Tevez which if he scored would have made the score 2-0. Essien required assistance from Joe Cole and Ballack in the second half due to the torrid time Ronaldo gave him in the first half but it still didn't stop Ronaldo from beating him beating him one-on-one on a few occasions and from providing some dangerous crosses and he also took advantage of the amount of attention Chelsea were giving him by drawing players in and then releasing Evra down the left in space. His link-up play with Evra was great in that game, finding him in space quite a few times so that he could provide a cross or cutback. His game was certainly a far cry from "poor" as you put it.

Ok so 1 decent game and 2 mediocre games in 3 finals, Certainly u expect more from a player who people are calling better than Messi?
Who says this? Perhaps you are confusing them saying "he had a better year than Messi" with "Ronaldo is better outright than Messi". Ronaldo has done the business in the back-end of the CL on many occasions and does not have anything to prove in that regard. Ronaldo has 11 goals in 14 games in the Quarter-finals and 9 goals in 14 games in the semi-finals in addition to strong performances. It would be very harsh to disregard all that and to only judge his performances in the CL by his performances in the final.

and u are judging Ronaldo purely on goals, there is a lot more to games than scoring a few tap ins and penalties.
Do I? Lets look at my last post.
Ronaldo has 11 goals in 14 games in the Quarter-finals and 9 goals in 14 games in the semi-finals in addition to strong performances.

His performances vs Arsenal in 08/09 were pretty great and I don't recall any tap-ins there, do you? What did you make of him last season vs Bayern Munich when in the first 30 minutes at home Bayern were well on top and had Madrid pressed back in their own half and then Ronaldo dropped deep, collected the ball and found Coentrao behind the Bayern defence with a great pass which Coentrao then proceeded to cross to Benzema which allowed him to slot home to give Madrid the lead against the run of play. Pretty good, no? Very decisive action in a crucial moment which was not a goal? His pass to find Ozil in 2012 which gave Madrid the equaliser against Bayern away in the semi final being another example. And didn't I just describe Ronaldo's performance in the CL final vs Chelsea, mentioning plenty of other things that he did other than goals.

Just to show how hard it is to perform at a high level in semi finals, lets use another player for example. How about Messi seeing as he is the best player in the world and the best player of his generation and one of the very best of all time (and a player you seem obsessed about comparing Ronaldo to). Other than his performance vs Real Madrid in 10/11 which was vs 10 men he has not had the best performances in semi finals. Against Chelsea, Inter, Madrid before Pepe was sent off, Chelsea again and against Bayern (tbf he wasn't fully fit and I personally wouldn't judge him harshly on that game but that hasn't stopped people from having a go at Ronaldo for not being fully fit at the World Cup or in the CL final so why should it for Messi) and Atletico in the quarter finals he struggled and did not perform well. And this is Messi who is the best player in the world and the best of his generation and one of the very best ever and even he struggles in such matches. So perhaps you should realise the standard that you are applying to Ronaldo and your method of assessing him is very flawed and harsh and if applied to other players (including Messi) then they do not come out of it looking so good either.

Ronaldo is a poacher
Nonsense. He scores all types of goals be it inside the box or outside it and sets up plenty of chances for his teammates too. He is far more than a poacher.
He is a very good player but not on Messi's level and never will be.
Straw man. Nobody said he is. Not being as good as Messi is hardly an insult and if anything, the fact that he is compared to Messi is a compliment to him and his ability as a player.
Thats my opinion on Ronaldo and it wont change i have watched enough of him to see how he plays. When things dont go his way he starts to throw his toys out of the pram and blames his team mates.
You claim to watch him a lot but are reverting to using clichés. How he behaves has nothing to do with his footballing ability. There are far more positives than negatives to him and he does a lot more good than bad. The fact that you referred to him as a poacher tells me that you see very little of him and you still haven't addresses the actions and performances I mentioned earlier (the final against Chelsea etc) and still keep harping on about "just goals". Why do you keep ignoring those points?
upsessed with scoring goals and always wants the spotlight. His whole team is built around him to get goals he can go invisible for large parts of games and contribute very little to his team.
What is wrong with that. He is very, very good at getting goals and making the difference in the final third be it from a pass or shot. Why shouldn't he be obsessed with it? He is a forward after all. Isnt that his job? Doesn't it kinda make sense that his team is set up to get the best out of such a player? Don't most teams do that to get the best out of their best player? (Milan with Kaka, Liverpool with Torres and Suarez, Barcelona with Messi under Pep) And before you come out with your usual " but Messi does all that and contributes to the team" I just want to say for the 100th time he is not as good as Messi and it shows how desperate you are to make him look bad and to portray him as negatively as possible by constantly comparing him to Messi, one of the very best ever. You really are scraping around the barrel in your bid to make him look bad. Once again I would like to point to his high number of assists to show that he does more in the final third than just score goals.
always wants the spotlight
What has that got to do with football. We are talking about his ability as a player. Please do stay on topic. I am starting to get the impression that you do not like him by the fact that you keep bringing Ronaldo's personality( or what you perceive to be Ronaldo's personality as you do not actually know him) into question, which surely would hurt your credibility in such an argument, wouldn't you agree?
Ronaldo does have the talent to change games on his own but i have barely seen him do that in the last few years
Then you have watched very little of him. I can remember him on several occasions scoring goals from ridiculous ranges over the years (especially in 11/12 when they were very important in regards to Madrid's league win) as well as some goals that he scored where he dribbled past players. There are not many players that come out on top in comparison to Ronaldo in that regard.
the first goal against Liverpool is an example of this
He has scored plenty of goals that were better than that one that required even more individual ability. The fact that you are using this recent game in the CL suggests that you only watch him in the CL and do not watch him every week or have a short memory or perhaps both. When I think of his best goals that is not the first one that comes to mind.
i think people over rate him because he has an amazing goal scoring record.
He is not overrated. He is one of the best players of his generation (in a generation that has had all-timers such as Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and two of the best teams of all time in Barcelona and Bayern) and is able to win Balon D'ors even with Messi around. If people say he is better than Messi then that is what I would consider to be people overrating him but there are more people who think Messi is better so I don't really see how it would be a factor.

So he continues where he left off, scoring yet again. I think he's scored in every league game he's played in this season bar one? Incredible

a lot easier when you get 8 league penalties half way through the season, so you can play like shit (as he did today) and still keep your run going.
