Maybe he has been reading your posts and voted based on anger, you’re truly obsessed. Move on.

Ive seen your posts, especially on the Bernardo situation. You should be ashamed of yourself, with your racism defending views. Do you defend all Portuguese, despite what they do. Despicable. Have a soul.

Don’t be a moron. First of all the Bernardo situation is simple. He isn’t racist period. Second, your childish reaction and other respectable but imho exaggerated reactions on that topic are the reason guys like Trump, Bolsonaro, and Brexit happened. You can’t preach tolerance to the others when you’re condescending toward others. So before spouting idiotic sentences towards what others say, just accept the fact you live in a world where you’re free to disagree with the majority. Actually for a Messi lover you’re quite small compared to him. Actually you should join the Cristiano team who didn’t have the grandiosity to vote on a player who is clearly better than those 3. Go to sleep and try to bully someone at your level, I am bigger, better and faster than you. I am truly a legend. You’re not, sorry. ;)

Just saw his votes for the FIFA awards. Quite amazing how he can be so good at football and still be so insecure about it.

At least we know where his fanboys get their cue from.

I wasn’t talking about then but more so in the 100+ games before he joined Madrid at United.

I don't know didn't messi and Ronaldo more or less start off in the same positions? Other than messi was maybe more of an inside forward rather than a winger.

Nobody in that thread called Bernardo a racist, so why do you keep repeating yourself.
Look at the names you keep mentioning, Trump, Bolsonaro. Its because of people like you that they have support, insecure bigots going around telling everyone how to react and feel. You were too transparent in that thread, you weren't fooling anybody. Now go back to your fanboyism.

Seriously? Wow!

Who did "Trump, Bolsonaro and Brexit" get dragged into this  ?

When people ignored the fact that this is the Ronaldo thread and not the Ronaldo v Messi thread!

There is a reason why the mods made a separate thread for that, although it seems like they are not bothered to enforce it anymore.

What I like about you is that is that you like Ronaldo but you don't go stupidly about it, don't go into pointless debates, don't bring Messi into the wrong threads. Every fanboi should be like you ;)

Cheers mate

Honestly, I don’t have anything against Messi, I just don’t have any interest in him which is why I don’t go posting in the Messi thread. Why would I?

Messi fans are really insufferable. They should leave this thread for Ronaldo discussions only

I love Ronaldo but his fans are actually crazy on his Insta.

It’s actually becoming hysteria now with him. I watched him a lot last season. Apart from the Athletico game he’s not the player he once was.

He should never win the Ballon D’or ever again if it’s based on football ability which it should be btw.

Messi would always go in and around the box as like you said he was more of a forward than a winger, Messi first 5 seasons at Barca he had 1 goal 8 goals, 17 goals, 16 goals, 38 goals.

Ronaldo was more of a showboating flashy winger than a scorer and hardly found himself in the box. Keep in mind Ronaldo has changed his positions and transformed himself 3 different times if you think about it. Anyways in Comparison this is Ronaldos first 5 seasons, 5 goals, 6 goals, 9 goals, 12 goals, 23 goals.

Was only in his 5th season where he really Began popping up in more goal scoring areas in and around the box and began to gan some of his positional awareness. The following year he scored 42 goals and you know what happened the next 10 years.

Yeah, Ronaldo played as a traditional winger in an old fashioned 4-4-2 while Messi played as an inside forward in a 4-3-3. The latter is obviously positioned further up the pitch and has less defensive duties due to having 3 midfielders behind. Ronaldo was tactically closer to a Lucas Vasquez type of player (one of the few traditional wingers I can think of) than an inverted forward in his first 4 years in England. The former has far lesser chances to score. In that sense, he’s revolutionised his game much more than Messi.

So Ronaldo not voting for Messi is an issue now, how fecking pathethic an argument from the Messi fanboys, last I checked the two never voted for each other, even when Cristiano had the better year.

Hard to believe it now, 15 years later.

Well, maybe for people that didn't get to watch him earlier (not saying it's your case). For me, what's still hard to believe if that he's this great goalscorer, watching him play in his first years I'd probably bet on him breaking the 20 goals/season maybe a couple times in his career.

I loved him in that era, same way most of the time I watched Barcelona in the 03/04 season I was screaming the whole game until Quaresma was in.

I remember hearing about Ronaldo in 2003. Barça ultimately bought the poor man's version: Quaresma.
In 2003-2006 he was a bit off the radar, at least outside the PL. Ronaldinho had all the spotlight back then.

If R9 was the first to bring Nike and big marketing into football, CR7 and Messi were the first to have player-supporters. The biggest rivalry in past 10 years hasn't been club rivalry or nation rivalry, but player rivalry and their fanboys. Not sure I like it

It had nothing to do with Messi. It was a Portuguese fan on here who had the gal to claim that black people who found Bernardos joke racist (no one called him a racist) as childish and overreacting. Then the same deluded bigot brought up Trump and Bolsonero out of nowhere. He even started talking about neo nazis. You can see where the likes of him get there inspiration.

Anyway, the topic at hand. Love or loathe him, Cristiano is phenomenal and has had a great career. What will be the point for him when he says his work is done? CL Juve? 800 goals, international goals record? Another Balon Dor?
I saw him at the weekend, seemed more mature on the pitch than id seen for a while.

End of conversation, the only thing I tell you is that fanboysm coming from you is a joke. If you don’t understand the difference between consequences and support go to the dictionary, not going to waste my time here to receive a warning based on something that is reasonably clear why I said it, but of course there are always guys like you here whose job is to create controversy in every topic, at least I hope you received a warning like me, if not tells more about the moderation than me.

Quaresma was (to me still is:drool:) absolutely brilliant when he was younger. The type of player who brings fans to games as was a young Ronaldo. Quaresma loved getting the ooooss and ahhss out of the crowd and its not by accident he was considered the better talent of the two. In fact Quaresma did and still does posses more natural skill and technical quality on the ball. He was more naturally gifted for sure but never had Ronaldos drive and work ethic.

Seriously? Wow!
Seriously what? Do you know what kind of subject this was related? If not try to understand why and then show fake indignation later. Or ask in a respectful way.

Moderation is this poster going to receive a warning immediately or not? Fed up of having this person attributing things that I didn’t said on a topic not related with the subject and making insinuations about racism and bigotry about my person. If he isn’t treated the same way as me here I will have to take the conclusion maybe it’s better to get banned forever here, because I am losing my patience with this moron.

Its tough usnti it, when the very words you use, are used against you. You brought up Bolsonero and Trump up at the top of this thread, the other posters saw it. And you also said that those upset with Bernardos joke were childish and over reacting. Yes, downplaying the feelings and the rights of minorities to react how they feel is ignorant and bigoted.
And you want me banned, when youve just insulted me and called me a moron?
Or are you going to stay true to form and pretend that didnt happen?

Maybe he lost some of that physical edge you need at this level, but the last time I saw Quaresma play, he couldn’t beat his man to save his life. He struggled more at it than Ronaldo by miles; usually opting for the early cross into the box, rinse and repeat.

I never actually watched him that much outside YouTube when he was a prospect.

I wonder if he really was better than Ronaldo talent wise (as hyped) since they were essentially the same player when they started off but Ronaldo always got called up for his country while Quaresma didn’t.

My apologies if that offended you. I don't want to cause you to join or vote for some type of far-right extremist party just because I wasn't respectful here, you see ;)

Quaresma had a lot of disciplinary problems with coaches and that is one of the reason as well. Technically a much more superior player but Ronaldo developed and elevated his game much more.

Ronaldo at 35 looks and plays like he's 28 while Quaresma does look and play his age.

Materclass vs Brazil with Ronaldo.

If his work ethic was on par with his ego he would've been a monster.

He's playing for the sake of bossing it vs Brazil because he just wants everyone to know he can do it, Cristiano was cocky in his younger years, but Quaresma is on another level of selfishness.

Eh, it's 6 minutes with him making bad decisions

Even his assist is wank

I was at that game, he was phenomenal. Him and Cristiano tore Brazil apart. Think he won MOTM.

Surely he must've done more than he did in that video then....

Haven’t seen the video, but his performance was one of the best live performances I’ve seen. He outshone Cristiano and Kaka that game.

Ronaldo’s performance from the same game impressed me more. I remember this game too. It was one of the first friendlies to be hosted at the emirates while it was still new.

That’s so true actually. People still have a rose tinted view of R9 for the reason he seemed to score tons at the world cups.

Watching his Seria A highlights last night I struggle to believe he did more than Ibra for instance. Certainly didn’t dominate games like Ibra did or collect as many player of the year awards on the league seasons.

Ronaldo and Messi isn’t even about football anymore it’s tribal. Just like Barcelona will never respect Madrid and vice versa. Many the fans don’t even watch the football they play. They check their social media accounts instead and just judge them based on that.
This is absolute horseshit, for the record.
Why is it? He’s no longer the player he was. Apart from Athletico last season and the goals in the nations league what did he do to prove he’s the best in the world?

Messi was busy playing at god tier all season, Van Dyke, Sterling, Bernardo Silva etc where tearing it up game to game more than Ronaldo. Mbappe was pretty much on his level last year if you take away the Athletico game and he is nowhere near Messi as a footballer. No one is, or has ever been.

Ronaldo I’d argue is the best player off the ball there has ever been. Both off and on the pitch.
