P.S. On a tangential note, how would you guys rate Vinagre? Liked the look of him with Dalot in the U-17 tournament and caught the eye this summer for the U-19 team as well, but haven't diligently followed his progress at Wolves. Could he possibly reach Guerreiro's level in the future?
Comparing the 2 in 2016 and 2017 I would say Dalot potential for development is higher, but still today Vinagre replaced Jonny at halftime and he looked confident. As far I can say I am not surprised Dalot hasn't played much with Mourinho. First he had problems recovering with the injury and lack of pre season, then United isn't possibly the best hotspot of stability for now.

But I still rate Dalot a bit higher than Vinagre. Regarding if Vinagre can get better than Guerreiro, since he went to Germany its hard to call him a fullback these days. With Tuchel he was more a midfielder, and as far I can say there are suspitions his professional behaviour outside of the pitch has something to do with his constant injuries.

But after Mário Rui I hope Vinagre in the near medium term can develop to fullfill his potential. Finally yes I think our future overall looks good, imo a bit like the mid 90's untill 2010 perhaps. A bit on the upward move as far I can see, different than saying we will win this or that. Our 99 generation is quite good.

Just looking at his stats.
Has to be the player with the highest average shots per game in football history.

@giorno Juventus should thank Spalleti's 6 months work with Cancelo.
Nah, Spalletti did good work on him but since he set foot in those cnuts training ground he's become the best fecking right back in the world. It's insane how any player who's spent 5 minutes there improved in the last 5 years

Is that anything to do with Allegri or they just need to taste the air there?

Cheers for the detailed response, @SCP! :)

Just the 11 shots from CRon today.

1 goal, 5 corners, a chance created, 1 ball on the post and only 2 off target that resulted in losing possession... what a waste. This isn't the NBA ffs, how little of football can you actually know to make a comment like that?

It was always the right decision to shoot, every single time and it was by far the biggest threat Juve had.

First player to score 400 goals in Europe's top 5 leagues.

You can tell he's already fully adapted. He seems highly motivated, if Juve actually attacked he'd have more than one. Having Dybala, Costa and Bernardeschi on the bench is probably the best long term decision but it's making the game very dull.

A misguided statistic for obvious reasons. Both him and Messi had already scored more than any other player ever by those arbitrary criteria back in January of this year.

I agree on your second paragraph: Cristiano's playing better and looking more hungry than in La Liga last season... his season started off a bit mixed as he was too eager to score in the first few games, forcing bad decisions. Now it's looking like second nature again. And he's involved a great amount in the attack, driving his team mates forward.

Lock him up already... at least Hoeness did actual time, Ronaldo will get away with everything he did and tell you how he is just hated for being good looking, rich and successful (which he has already done btw).

You just know he's going to score against us:(

I didn’t know he had been found guilty  There’s also a dedicated thread for this in the Current Events forum.

First of all, not everyone is allowed to post there, second of all, that's just the rape case.

For everyone who has already forgot about it, he is a convicted criminal, a tax cheat, who got a plea deal despite evading taxes in the millions. People have gone to jail for muuuuch less. And in Germany they recouped the money, had Hoeness pay a hefty fine on top of it AND locked him up. Ronaldo is a criminal who tends to get away easily... And to top it off he is still bragging about it publicly how he is a happy man and has everything one can dream of during today's press conference. That really pissed me off and I can totally understand people now who bashed him after his crying during the Valencia game (although I didn't think it was a red card as I stated in this thread) and I hope we will see him behind bars sometime in the future...

Since you talk so much about Hoeness and Germany I’ll take a wild guess that you are German yourself, and I know that Ronaldo is not well liked in Germany - for some reason.

*shrugs*

Either way, it’s still not relevant for his Juventus performances thread. If you want to talk about the tax case there is an old thread just waiting to get bumped.

No, I'm not German, just a normal person with a sense of decency and moral that people like you have forgot or traded in for their fanboi colors. The example of Hoeness is there to show that even famous people could and should be treated the same, sick and tired of the rich and famous getting away easily - and then even bragging about it. Take everything he has away from him and have that stupid grin disappear from Tristiano's face.

And as far as his performances this season go, he still sucks and is playing nowhere near the level of hype he receives. This season Messi has been light years ahead of this crybaby. And even Jovic has as many goals in one game as Ronaldo in 10...

If you want to be taken seriously at this forum I suggest that you rephrase yourself quite a bit.

It’s fine to have another opinion but to say that fans of Ronaldo have «forgot or traded in their moral for their fanboi colors» is... odd.

My Inter supporting friend was so mad with Spalleti for misusing/underusing Cancelo, and at the club for not taking the option to sign him in the summer. Really fecking dumb when you think about it.

man, one of the best rages ever. hahah.

Isn't there a shame board os something like that in the forum? Shame! Shame! Shame!

:D

I know, all inter fans reacted like that. Fact is they hadn't seen a half-decent FB in years. Truth was he had 3 competent months at inter over an entire season, cost €40m, and Inter were under financial restrictions thanks to FFP

At no point was he anywhere near as good for Inter as he has been for Juve

That's on Spalletti and his fetish for D'Ambrosio who's 30-yrs old, and has had a mediocre career. I remember Cancelo not playing at all last year until injury to D'Ambrosio forced Spalletti's hand - and Cancelo was amazing in those 5-6 consecutive matches he played. Then, despite playing very well, Cancelo gets benched the moment D'Ambrosio is back from injury; kills his confidence, momentum etc. Media was pissed.

I agree, he's playing better at Juve because he's playing for a better team, for a coach that trusts him etc. His talent was in question. I remember Prandelli raving about Cancelo at the time, that's what piqued my interest in the first place
