Are you a maniac?

You're listing players like James, Lingard, Elanga, woefully out of form Martial, green Greenwood, mind elsewhere Cavani, and injured Rashford as reasons to not sign Ronaldo

If the plan was to go for Haaland next season then yes, definitely. Give the young lads a chance, let Cavani see out his contract, Rashford is already back training. The problem at the minute isn't goals. It's progressing the ball up the pitch. Ronaldo goal hanging isn't going to help. It's not logical at all to potentially spend €500k a week on a 36 yo player. It's a nonsense signing.

I say this as someone who thinks hes a wonderful player. If he does sign I hope he makes me eat my words. But there are a lot of potential downsides. Acting like there aren't is silly.

Bluemoon posters are so delusional, they reckon if Ronaldo ends up here its for the money, and if he has ambition he would go to city. That lot have to be the most deluded fans out there.

30 mill for a 36 year old on massive wages who will demand to play every single minute of every single game, I'd rather City have him.

Messi broke records signing for PSG. Ronaldo will make us a ton of money, this is worth it from a commerical point of view for the club, the big question is whether it will be worth it on the pitch.

If he signs and we also get a midfielder then I'll be delighted.

The fact that he might've even been considering City was going to burn some bridges for me but I'll wait til the facts come out.

This is the Glazers Tom Brady moment and the biggest heel to face turn by Ronaldo…

Ronaldo showing Kane how to get the transfer you want. Turn up at club, empty locker, say goodbye, get on plane, make the deal happen whilst your in the sky, land at new club.

No money available for the midfield unless we sell, but now suddenly we can afford this? Glazers never learn.
They do, it's just not the right things from our perspective. This is a transfer that'll make them fecktons of money by increasing the value of their asset, just like Brady has added to the value of the Bucs.

Its hard to overstate how much football romanticism is in this particular homecoming.

This is the type of move where I'm more than happy to forget that I'm a responsible adult with my own business, a house, people who depend on me and a woman who has to be seen in public with me occasionally, and absolutely lose my fecking shit in pure joy.

Ronaldo coming home to the Theatre of Dreams to round of his career is what should have happened with Leo at Barca. It's hard to overstate just how much this means to me as a lifelong fan of this club.
